    The Black Diamond Axis 33 pack is a top-loading, alpine guide-style hauler designed for comfort on fast alpine climbs. Its stable and supportive suspension offers impressive freedom of movement.

    • ergoACTIV™ suspension offers full range of motion, and optimal comfort for scrambling and climbing
    • SwingArm™ shoulder straps move in concert with a hiker’s stride or a climber’s reach by sliding through the bottom of the pack with a low-friction cable and housing
    • Shoulder straps are linked to the other by the cable which helps maintain an even, balanced load across the shoulders
    • Thermoformed back panel is vented to maximize breathability
    • Removable, padded hipbelt connects to the frame with a ball joint that allows it to move unrestrictedly in any direction

      Great day pack for ice climbing (what i bought it for). Can fit all my screws and quickdraws, food, water, extra layers. Didn't even notice it was on when I climbed with it. Also good for a daypack though maybe a bit overkill.

        I have been on a major push lately personally to be as fast and light as possible with my gear. I had been on the hunt for a light pack specifially for done in a day summit summit bagging. something that was light weight. I first bought a different pack that was feather light.. BUT when full of gear it felt awkward and did not retain its shape very well making it odd to strap gear on externally. I started researching packs to find something that would fit my needs to the tee. THIS IS THE ONE! It has an amazing set up for ice tools, hauling system, hidden rope strap, a crampon patch and strap system. This is one item where I decided that a little weight is better... BUT! it has the swaying suspension system that actyally makes the pack feel WAY lighter than it is. over all this pack is incredible. I really cant think of anything I would change about it!
