Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
The main problem with these is they taste so good, that my kids are always stealing them and/or begging for them. I run more than I bike-- these go down great on my long training runs, when I can't just eat gels. It's real food, has some fat in them, digests well, and as my kids realize, very very yummy. I do bring some on hikes to reward my kids after making it up some huge hill. One drawback is that in really cold weather, they get pretty hard and tough to chew, though I stick them in my mouth and let them melt -- so it lasts longer and maybe not a drawback. Not sure if the ones with Lance on them will become collectors items or not. There is a technique to opening the wrapper-- pull apart the sides, rather than ripping from the top, otherwise gets messy. Easier to handle running, might be difficult biking, as one other reviewer mentioned.

My whole family loves the standard honey ones, its almost like a honey-soaked sugar cookie. Great backpacking snack.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
Everyone seems to love these, so maybe my expectations were too high? I've only tried Lemon flavor so far, but i was a bit underwhelmed by the lack of lemony zing! Also, the waffle itself is very light and small..i opened it thinking i'd eat half as an afternoon snack at work, but it's about 4 or 5 bites total, so i downed the entire thing.
It definitely goes down easy and doesn't stick in your teeth as someone else said, so compared to like an old school PowerBar or something, it's much friendlier...doesn't require a big water chaser.
To me they seem more aimed at a snack at your desk rather than a workout supplement...the nutritional numbers are pretty snack like and personally speaking, they're not filling enough for say, a power snack during a mtn bike ride. They're priced like every other energy bar, but seem to provide about 2/3 the calories and carbs and 2x the fat than say a ClifBar (plus 0 protein and very little fiber). Also, while they are flat and lightweight for stuffing in your jersey or backpack, they also seem a little fragile, as many bits of the waffle break away and dump out in your lap when you open it if you've abused them a bit before eating.
I have other flavors to try, so maybe they'll be more interesting tasting, but in the end i think they'll end up in my desk drawer at work instead of along for a big bike ride or snowboard..
Service and delivery comments:
These waffles are fragile around the edges, so be aware that if you have REI ship them to you, they can get a bit crumbly. Mine were packed with those air pillows, which did nothing to cushion a bunch of energy bar sized items. Every one so far has been filled with broken waffley bits!

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
These honey waffles are terrific! They are tasty and easy to eat while bike riding. As a matter of fact, they are so good that I, like another reviewer mentioned, only allow myself to eat these as a reward for working hard after/during a nice long bike ride. It's like a desert, very similar to a soft sugar cookie. The vanilla flavor is my favorite so far, but I have not tried the strawberry flavor yet. The first time I tried one, I was pretty tired after a long ride and I just could not believe how great it tasted. It boosted my energy level, and it gave me a nice mental boost from the great flavor and texture. One last thing - the waffle has a slight chewy texture as well, which holds the waffle together so you can munch on it while riding and not worry about it fragmenting into pieces. I love it!

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
I am not sure why, but I expected these to be more of a honey comb. They are a honey waffle like a soft waffle cone. They taste great, are portable, lightweight. I love them, and will buy more.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
These are absolutely amazing! Honestly, I thought they'd be good, but they are great. I felt like I did have more energy and after eating one waffle, I definitely wanted more. It's like a small, thin waffle with honey in it and just wonderful goodness.
I don't know if I ever want to try bloks/chews, energy gels or anything else. These are that good. Also, if you are biking and find that the waffles are hard to open in the packaging, think ahead and open them before you start riding and put them in a plastic baggies. I have found that's the easiest way to open them while biking.

Comments about Honey Stinger Energy Waffle:
I've had some good experiences with other Honey Stinger products, so I decided to try out the Waffle Energy Bar based on the strong reviews. I can't give it a perfect 5-star rating, but I thought it was pretty good overall and I plan to use them again. The nice thing about these is that they are really flat, and very lightweight, so they're very packable. The flavor and texture is pretty good, too. I tried the vanilla and I'd say the flavor most reminds me of an old fashioned sugar cookie. Imagine a very flat, moist/soft sugar cookie, and that's pretty much how the waffle bar goes down. It's pleasant, especially compared to the horrific taste of most energy bars, but it may be a bit too sweet for some. For me the combination of reasonable flavor and super packability will make this a repeat purchase.

Very tasty! Also gives you that much needed boost. They are kind of small, but dont let that dissuade you. Buy some now!
