Comments about Boreal Krypto Rock Shoes:
Great shoe that breaks in really well.
Full grain leather that is very comfortable.
Make sure and fit it tight!

Comments about Boreal Krypto Rock Shoes:
Had these for about 6 months now. Holding together pretty well for how much I toe drag and toss them around. Have climbed in the rain, over water, and in hot heat and these shoes are still pretty much brand new. There was a thin spot about a millimeter wide that the rubber wore away, but it hasn't gotten any bigger and that section was there the second day I climbed in them. Great shoe, good feel.

Comments about Boreal Krypto Rock Shoes:
After about a month of climbing with these:
These shoes are not sensitive enough and I had to constantly look down to make sure that my foot was on the hold correctly. They are also very much on the stiff end of the spectrum.

Comments about Boreal Krypto Rock Shoes:
This is my second pair of climbing shoes (evolv defy were my first), and I am very happy so far. I can't attest to how long they last, but I was upset with how quickly my evolv's got worn out, and I read the Boreal's last a long time. The Krypto's fit really well and are comfortable even for how tight I wear mine. I feel they are a bit wider in the toe area than my evolv's, which suits me perfectly. I rated them as a half size smaller than true fit, but I am wearing the same size as my street size. They were pretty tight to begin with, but they did stretch out a little bit (it doesn't help that my feet are slightly different sizes). I would recommend buying them tight because the toe strap is not adjustable. There is more width in the toe area than my last shoes, so they are somewhat comfortable even when tight. I found these shoes to work great for roof climbs and steep grades. They are definitely more agressive than my pair of evolv defys (just a slight curvature of the foot angle). The only reason I gave these four instead of five stars is because they are unlined, and the back of the heel rubbed me wrong at times. Never got a blister from it, but it was still annoying. I also have not taken these outdoors yet, so I'm not sure how they stack up on real rock. With my tight fit, I can wear them for about 2-3 hrs before I need to let my toes breathe. A more flat footed pair might be better for all day wear.

Comments about Boreal Krypto Rock Shoes:
I climb outside at least three days a week, often more, and go through a minimum of four pairs of shoes each year. Having had four previous pairs of Boreal Climbing shoes I have a lot of experience with the product. I recently purchased my first pair of Kryptos since it has been harder to find Blades locally. With this particular model I have climbed on Sport, Trad, Bouldering, Overhanging, and Slab.
Within two weeks the edging rubber on the toe has melted away and is already peeling from the rand. Additionally the friction is noticeably weaker than other versions, particularly on the sole of the shoe. While I do tend to climb a lot this is substandard performance.
The Kryptos simply do not conform to the quality I have come to expect from Boreal.
