Comments about CamelBak Pure Flow Replacement Tube:

The tube on my original two-liter Camelbak bladder started breaking down recently (the inner liner was separating from the outer tube), so I bought one of these as a replacement. I wonder if the design of the tubing has changed over the years, because this new tube is much less pliable than the old one. I've followed the instructions for use (e.g., warm the tube with warm water, use rubbing alcohol at the attachment points), but it is nearly impossible both to attach the tube securely to the bladder (i.e., hard to push it on far enough to get a secure fit) and to remove the tube for cleaning once I've jammed it on there. All of the pulling and pushing I have to do makes me think I'm weakening the entire structure. I'm not a weak person by any means, but I seriously tire myself out working with this gear and have to take multiple breaks during the process (both to rest and to calm my frustration). After several episodes, I'm finished, and this bad experience is pushing me to another brand of hydration pack that's easier to work with.
