The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated3out of5bymrsphxyaxfromGreat for some activitiesI bought this for running. Used it for hiking, biking, and running.
The pack has to be positioned down low over your hips. Some people have complained that the tube is not long enough. I found it sufficient, especially since you can route it left or right to get different lengths. The clip took me a while to figure out how to open (for attaching the bite valve to your clothing). Lots of storage without bulk/weight. Water proof. It's unfortunate that the tube cannot be disconnected; that's a major flaw in my opinion.
For hiking - this is a great pack. Very comfortable. Would recommend to a friend for this purpose.
For biking - (casual street riding): I was surprised at how extremely comfortable the pack was. Easy to use. Holds lots of water without being heavy/hot on your back. Would recommend to a friend for this purpose.
It doesn't offer the protection that over-the-back packs offer in terms of trail riding.
For running - useless. I couldn't get it to stop moving around. The waist clip broke on my first run.

Rated1out of5byLuckyYogifromNot Reccomended for RunnersThe pack straps loosen as your running and causes the pack to bounce, then rotate 180 degrees, and slaps your lower back. I have tried two positions: letting the pack sit on my hips and then tight around my waist, which allows the pack to press against my lower back. I exemplify this in my video on YouTube on my channel at LuckyYogi. I really like the minimalist idea behind this pack and the vibrant blue is really vibrant! Aesthetically, this pack is awesome...however, that's just about it.

Rated1out of5bydrcharliefromDisappointing modificationsI have a first generation of the FlashFlo that I love. I purchased a second and discovered that the bladder in the second generation has the "wings" where it supposedly fits across a broader area of the back, which I assume was to provide more stability and cushioning. The effect unfortunately is that it turns the bladder into a cushion that creates the unstable roll at many reviewers mention. The older bladder (without wings) is cinched firmly in place by the compression straps. This is impossible to do with the new design if the bladder is full. It is a great concept, but I want the old bladder back. Unless I can get a replacement old style bladder back! it is best used staying on the shelf.

Rated4out of5byMVZfromGood product with slight improvementI bought this to use on my motorcycle. The only negative is that the tube is about a foot too short for using on a motorcycle. It requires you to take your eyes completely off the road in order to drink from it. So I went to a hardware store and bought a length of 3/8" clear flexible plastic tubing and replaced the blue tubing on the waistpack with tubing about a foot longer. Now it is perfect. Cost about $4.

Rated4out of5bywoodchipandyfrombetter than expectedI use this on any run over 1 and 1/2 hrs. I would have given 5 stars if the belt buckles didn't loosen as I ran. When full I experience a little bounce, but after I drain 15 oz or so and cinch down the straps it's barely noticeable. Fixed the buckle situation with a diaper safety pin. No slippage now! This is a well thought out and executed waist pack(just fix the buckles). As to those who have a short tube problem, I don't get it. Out the left side and under the arm, plenty. I actually prefer to stow the tube in the belt clip as I run. I am 6'2" and 200 lbs as a size reference.

Rated4out of5byjillfaefromNot so much for runnersI attempted to run with it, then wondered why am I running with 50oz of h2o? Not really necessary. It is bulky for a run doesn't stay in place other mentions it coming loose and that is fact. I use it cycling and it was great large enough to hold my hand pump and a few snacks. It will be best used for me hiking and biking. Definitely would not recommend it for running.

Rated4out of5byPavewallyfromGreat pak with a few upgrades.I really like Camelbak products, I was a little skeptical when I read the reviews for this product. I went to the store in ABQ and loaded this pack and essentially ran around the store and found what I did and didn't like about it. Yes it will roll on you with alot of gear and water in the pack. BUT, it took me 5 minutes to fix that problem. I had one of those flexable cutting boards that were very thin. I cut it to fit in the pack (I initially used cardboard to ensure that I got the right size). I know what your thinking is that why should I have to go through all of this, well it's all about how you want to wear it. I didn't mind going through this to ensure that I would use this for a long time running. But that is up to you, there was no actual product tampering, just some minor addon's.
I also added a longer hose, I'm 6'2" and 250lbs so I needed a little more length on the hose so that I didn't fall over while running and trying to get a drink.
Don't let the flopping over get you to not purchase this product. YOu can fix this extremely cheap if you really wanted.
