Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
For mountain biking I have two packs, this and a smaller one. This is great for all-day rides, just barely enough space to squeeze your tools, tube, spare little parts and a ton of snacks.
The pockets are really well-designed, there's a big main cargo area, a quick access/stash pocket for your helmet (when loading out to the car) or your jacket on the ride, a tools/parts organizing pocket, a couple nice quick-access pockets, and a fleece-lined pocket at the top for your phone/ipod.
You do have to take the bladder halfway out to fill it, but that's expected on a pack with lots of cargo space. The new 1/8th turn cap makes filling really easy.
What does the NV model include that the standard Mule doesn't? Improved back ventilation, a few extra little pockets, and a must for me— a bright, retractable rain cover. Haven't seen yet how water-resistant the pack is without the cover, but it's and added level of brightness for commuting.
If you really pack a LOT of stuff on your ride or you're out for more than 5 hours, you might want a Hawg instead.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I use this product at my work as a power lineman. It hangs on a bucket hook when I'm working and is awesome at keeping me hydrated without having to stop working. I keep a headlamp and binoculars in it for storms and night work. The only real problem I have with it is that the main pouch loses a lot of storage when you fill the water bladder up. Other than that, this is a great product. Got it with a gift card.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
My wife and I each have a 100 fl. Oz. Camelbak bladder that we stuff in a pack we already own. We went on a 10 mile hike that turned into 14 miles on a trail that is described as "rugged and requires careful planning". The temperature was over 100 degrees and we both ran out of water with about 3 miles left to hike. I purchased this item so I could carry 2 - 100 ounce bladders. I placed the bladder I already have in the compartment on top of the designed bladder compartment. We went on a short hike of 3 miles today and I was extremely satisfied with the balance and comfort the M.U.L.E. offers. I also had plenty of room for day hiking items such as extra socks, first aid, snacks a couple small towels and other items...There was still plenty of room remaining. The one flaw I find with this item is that I have broad shoulders and the straps are more in line with someone of a smaller frame than I am. Although, not entirely uncomfortable even with 200 ounces of water and a few supplies I could see wearing this as an extended hike or day back. The waist strap and rain cover are also a nice feature.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I bought this pack during the Anniversary Sale and used my 20% coupon. I was vacationing in Colorado and needed a pack to take Mountain Biking and Day hikes, as my Northface Recon pack was too large.
This pack is stylish and well built. The materials do not feel flimsy or cheap. There is plenty of space and organization available and one of the best features is a built in rain fly. The padding in the back is very comfortable and the chest strap is adjustable.
You can cinch down the pack on both sides.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
Ive had this pack for about a year now and absolutely love it. Its continuously been used for everything from day hikes in RMNP to day-long bike rides to daily commuting and has held up wonderfully. The 3L bladder is the perfect size to keep you hydrated all-day long and holds whatever gear you may need while the multiple pockets keep everything organized and easy to access. Lastly, the NV back panel is super comfortable and definitely worth the extra $.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I bought this pack as a replacement for an old Lobo. I needed a little more storage capacity and this is perfect. It has enough room for a my essentials and an extra layer. It's super stable and the ventilated back works way better than the one on my old Lobo. The only thing that I think could be improved are the interior organization pockets. It's a bit hard to use them all because they're layered on top of each other. If one is full it's hard to fit anything in the pockets behind it. Minus one star for that. Everything else is perfect.

When I got the pack home, I found nice compartments I was not aware of in the store. The only downside was it was very expensive.

Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
Excellent backpack. I ride to class everyday, so a sport oriented bag was a must. I looked up tons of reviews for the MULE NV and never saw anything negative, so I gave it a shot. No regrets. There are adjustment straps in all the right places, the back panel is vented and ultra comfortable, and the 3L CamelBak bladder works great. When I ride to class, I put all my books/laptop in the main compartment, and the rest of my stuff (like shoes/sandals, U lock) in the helmet pouch. The straps at the bottom of the bag are also great for hanging my shoes on so I'm not walking around in bike cleats all day. Definitely a good pack.
