Comments about evolv Roundtangular Chalk Bag:

For a chalk bag, it does the job. I like the fact that I can take the belt off - unless I'm bouldering, I clip the two small loops to my haul loop with a small carabiner. Get the purple one - it's $6 less than the other colors, and in my opinion it's the best color and looks the coolest.

This chalk bag tends to end up in the bottom of my climbing pack, crushed by the weight of all my gear. No damage whatsoever. The closure system works - no chalk comes out, but I store it in a zip-lock bag anyways just by personal preference.

Capacity is good - it fits a "Metolius Refillable Super Chalk Sock" comfortably. Can be difficult to reach in sometimes, but this is due to it hanging off to one side because of the carabiner attachment preference I mentioned earlier, and NOT because of the product design. This is not a problem when I wear it with the included belt while bouldering.

Compared to the other chalk bags REI carries, the only other one I would use is the Arc'teryx, but there was a black one that is no longer sold here, and those don't have removable belts.

So, this is the best chalk bag sold at REI, and the price can't be beat.

The good:For an [$] chalk bag, this is a pretty solid bag. The rim is very stiff, the drawstring keeps it closed tight, and is quite deep (which for some might be a turn-off), and it never spills while climbing. The bad:While climbing it can be a little difficult to get your hand in there quickly to get chalk, so if you have sweaty hands and need to chalk up often it can be a bit of a hassle. Another problem I have with it is that when you set it down it won't stand upright, it'll fall to the side, so make sure you have it closed before setting it on the ground, especially if you use loose chalk. Lastly, this bag tends to get chalk all over it and can look tacky, but that has nothing really to do with performance, just aesthetics. All in all, for [$], it's an excellent bag.
