Comments about Chaco Z/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I really wanted to love these sandals, especially after all the positive reviews here and elsewhere. Unfortunately, these just weren't right for my feet. These sandals have too much arch support which made my feet sore. After walking around in them for a couple of hours I couldn't wait to take them off.
Other than that, the adjustable straps are pretty neat - it's like having a custom made sandal. They look well made and are pretty stylish, too.
Aside from the arch thing they were pretty comfy, but if you have arch issues you may want to try these on in the store to see if they're a good fit before buying them.

I bought these after a friend recommended them, and I love them. I bought them from REI 3 months ago and now have the Chaco tan. I have a nerve that gives me problems between two of my toes and my Chacos are the only shoe that doesn't aggravate it. We have been rafting, shopping, walking, tubing, to church, to work, everywhere. I love them, and I recommend them to everyone.

I LOVE CHACOS! These shoes are so versatile...I wear them to work(dress-casual), to church(casual), kayaking, hiking, even jogging!! They did take about a week to break in, but totally worth it. Everyone needs to own at least 1 pair...

These sandals are great. You can wear them loose for walking around town, and then tighten them up when you go for a hike. These sandals have the perfect amount of support so that you can wear them everyday and your feet don't ever hurt. I did found that I needed to have some time to break them in. This easily could be from not having the straps adjusted correctly, though. Chacos are the way to go. Grab a pair and you will never look back. Plus, you get some wicked awesome tan lines from them! :)

Comments about Chaco Z/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these sandals and wear them whenever I possibly can.
My feet are prone to plantar fasciaitis and fatigue pretty quickly, even with orthotics. This NEVER happens while wearing my chacos, so I wear them constantly. I wish they were available in additional, dressier styles.
In addition to great arch support, there's a good counter support on the outer side of the foot that provides wonderful stability. The availability of wide sizes is also a big plus.
I typically wear the straps loose enough that I can slide the shoes on and off without having to re-adjust the straps. The straps are strong, but soft, so no hot spots. My feet don't slide around, my toes don't get pinched or rubbed, and the heel strap fits nicely above my heel. The Chacos straps are actually one continuous strap that is threaded through the shoe, deep under the foot bed, so your body weight provides the tension that keeps them in place during each step.
I've had my chacos for three years and have put them through a lot, but they still look great and the soles don't have any signs of uneven wear. I'm buying more, so I have a wider variety of colors/designs.
I would love to see this same Chaco foot foundation designed into additional styles such as pretty sandals, casual, and dress shoes.
HIGHLY recommended.

My first pair of Chaco's lasted me over 10 years! I picked this style after a friend raved about the toe being more secure with this style. (I did get some slippage with my original pair) I generally do not care for anything around or between my toes, but these ARE SO COMFORTABLE! I love, love, love these shoes! I have planar fasciatis and there are virtually no shoes but Chaco's that I can wear without orthotics. I highly recommend this sandal. There is virtually no "breaking in" required, they are easily adjusted, and I get compliments every where I wear them. I hike, tidepool, bike and do errands in my Chaco's, with no problems. They are true to size, and it is nice to have some arch in a sandal, most don't!!

Comments about Chaco Z/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I have worn Chacos for years but I wanted something with a more flexible sole than my Z1's, similar to the Hipthong. The Z2s are just that plus better for walking long distances and with better foot stability than the Z1. I am taking these and leave the Z1s home for an upcoming 3 week trip. They give me the support I need and I do find myself tiring as I do when I wear other shoes.

Comments about Chaco Z/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I was really excited to buy my first pair of Chacos when my North Face sandals finally wore out after 3 years but I have been really disappointed. No matter how many times I adjust them, as soon as I start walking they tighten up and cut off circulation to my big toe. They also chafe at my little toes. I need a 'ready-to-wear' sandal that can go from water to the hiking trail without being broken in and these just didn't cut it.
