Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
great pack for day hiking. The outer pack is great for packing items like a light jacket or bananas which are difficult to pack because they smash easily. With the outer open pack, it stores them really well.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
Really great bag! I felt the compartment was a little tight and believe it's actually 16.5 liters not 18 as listed on the bag. Besides the lack of a little extra space the bag wears great. It moves with your body so feels a lot more comfortable.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
This backpack is a very good product for the price. I will admit that even though I said that the zipper snagged I have realized that it only happens on the outer extention of the pack that adjusts to fit more stuff.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
This is one of the best outdoor gear purchases I have ever made.
I bought this pack over 4 years ago to wear while training for a marathon. It is incredibly comfortable, snugging the body well during day hikes, long distance runs, or a trip to the office/school. Hip pads are comfy and fit power bars, gels, or a phone during runs.
After 4 years of heavy use, from African deserts/jungles, to the Sierras, to the Bolivian salt flats, the only thing that has failed on this bag are the zipper pulls, which finally snapped about 6 months ago.
Plenty of pockets, zips, and space inside. I bought the 22L but this is just as good, no doubt. No tears whatsoever, and I have put this thing through hell.
TL;DR - Overall an extremely comfortable, highly adjustable pack for the avid outdoorsman. Do not buy any other pack.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
Great fitting pack even for me at 6ft tall, read plenty of reviews that said it was only for short people. Plenty of pockets and expandable to maybe even accommodate a long day hike with climate changes. Has held up well for a few day hikes so far and kept everything in zippered pockets dry during a light rain. Tried some trail running with it as well and it stayed snug on my back and didn't move around too much. Back still gets sweaty, regardless of the breathable padding. Overall great pack and would def. recommend.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
This thing is great. I have had this pack for a while but really got to put it to the test in a cross country trip to California.
It was perfect as a carry on, as I was able to fit a jacket, drinks, lunch, snacks, phone, wallet, tablet, sunglasses, and other such things with ease. The best part was it left me with plenty of leg room stowed under the seat since it is so compact.
It was with me every day for a week, and it was perfect whether I was spending the day in San Francisco or going on day hikes in the many national parks in the area. I easily carried layers, water, cameras, and anything else I needed, and it was so light I didn't feel like I was hardly carrying anything.
I am 5'11 guy and it did not seem to small at all, quite the contrary it was the perfect size. It is lightweight, with plenty of pockets and space for a bladder- and comfortable as well.
I can not imagine taking any trips, in the city or the woods, without this day pack ever again. It was more than up to the task. By far the best day pack I have ever owned.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
Perfect ultra light day hike backpack. Super light with enough room for a water bladder, a sandwhich and Clif bars, a camera, a light sweater and the usual small stuff
Perfect wor taller but slender women for whom the tiny Dipsea is too short and most unisex backpacks are too wide.
The upper zipper opening isnt too big but I can make it work. I love the hidden zipper opening to comfortably insert a water bladder, the easily accessable outer pouch and the small little camera pocket on the hip belt.
One of the very few small and lightweight day packs with a hip belt! Perfect comfort fit od entire pack even for more strenous hikes. Just a bit sweatey as there is little air circulation given the design of the back padding but I dont mind.
Highly recommended for any minimalist!
Service and delivery comments:
I exchanged this pack at a store for one I ordered on the webiste but which didnt fit hassle-free!

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
Excellent pack for island sightseeing, well engineered, multiple pockets for large and small things. once fully packed it can easily accomodate air line traveling under seats and overhead storage, basicly lived out of that pack for a week on Kauai. Holds all day trip essentials, first aid pack and emergency suppies were easy to find and pack expands or contacts for extra clothing and lunch for two. I added a screw lock carbiner to top so I could clip the pack to the extended handle on my luggage as a theft preventer.

Comments about Gregory Miwok 18 Pack:
The other reviews have pretty well nailed this. A great pack with a quality feel to it. I load it with what I need for the day and go. It replaces an Osprey I have had for years that has gone with me all over the world and has allowed me to not miss my old pack. Great piece of gear!
