The Novara Mia Gel women's mountain bike double shorts have a gel-padded chamois that absorbs shock creating happy tails as well as trails.

Durable recycled nylon outer shorts move easily with you; water-repellent finish helps them dry quickly
Moisture-wicking, stretch-mesh liner shorts allow ventilation for cooling and have a built-in chamois pad for comfort
Women-specific, Novara Gel chamois conforms to body contours; a top layer of breathable foam and a bottom layer of thin, resilient foam enhances comfort on the bike
Full-coverage, women-specific Novara Gel chamois features a perforated gel pad to cushion; microfiber cover wicks moisture away
Gel pad system dissipates shock and reduces skin irritation by forming a fluid barrier between the hard saddle shell and the cyclist
Ultrasoft, breathable chamois is fully elasticized for added flex and stretch
Liner shorts feature elastic grippers at hems to keep shorts from riding up

As several reviewers before me have stated, these shorts are WAY too big in the waist. In fact, they run big overall, but the waist is ridiculous! Too bad, these might be good biking shorts. Either order a size or 2 smaller and expect to put on your seamstress hat to sew the waist tighter or don't buy them at all. That's my advice.

I have these shorts in medium and they fit well and I really liked them. I gained some mtn biking muscle recently :) and they started to feel a little tight in the hips, so I ordered a large. They were MUCH MUCH larger in the waist. So much that they will not fit. These shorts will fit well for less curvy women I think, and probably you should order a size down.

I agree with the other reviewer . These are enormous. Extremely comfortable and great padding but just too large.... I'm 5'7" and 165, and I usually wear a size 12 so I ordered a large. These are falling down on the waist and the bike shorts layer are way too loose to cycle in.... Overall very well made and nice style.... I've ordered a size smaller... Excited to wear a size medium for the first time in a decade :).

I bought these because i've been bikeing alot more than i had been. because of this i wanted a pair of shorts with a good seat for longer rides. the look and quality is great. however, the large is really large. I'm generally a size 10/12, these seem like they are more like a size 16 in the waist! other than my fear that the will fall off, the padding is great and they are comfortable. i'm going to return the large and try the medium. Hope that helps.
