Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
We took our son to the store and tried out all the packs. The Deuter KCII fits well and wears just like a hiking pack. I like the balance of my son when he is in the pack compared to the others. There is plenty of cushion to keep the little one comfortable. The low front buckles for the kid harness took some getting used to. Other than that, it's pretty simple to figure out. The bottom line is, when I bring out the pack, my son walks over to it and tries to climb in on his own!

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
We absolutely love this product. We tried out several in the store and finally after our second visit and much research, we decided on the Kid Comfort II. Our little one (youngest of three) is about 7 months and she gets so excited when she sees it or while she is in it. My husband and I are totally opposite heights, and this is so easy to adjust so that we both can use it. I am 5 foot one inch and even with having the backpack full of supplies and a baby, it was totally comfortable while walking. I would recommend this to others most defenitely.

Love this pack, more importantly my 2yr old loved it from the moment he saw it. Jumped in it and wouldn't let me put him down for a good hour. it's comfortable for both the parents and child. had to buy a UV cover though (I recommend the Kelty one) Cheap and it works well and you can store it on this pack with out any hassle. I have read a few complaints about the covers but as to how it fits and stores and I have no clue what they were talking about because this one works and fits better than the one made for it.

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
We started off with the Mobi wrap for our infant, which was great. When he was old enough to hold his head up and look around, we switched to the Ergo. We took him everywhere in that (grocery store, chores around the house, hiking, school events for our other children, etc). We were very sad when he decided to no longer be happy in the Ergo, because we love carrying him around with us.
We bought the Deuter Kid Comfort II after trying several out in the store, and have been very happy with it. We use it for hiking and long walks, but also for shopping, walking the dog, watering the garden, and so on. It is much smaller than a stroller and very easy to throw in the car just in case. Our little guy loves it too; he gets excited when he sees us pull it out of the closet.
Some things to love:
1. removable, washable chin pad
2. easy to put on and take off solo
3. side entry so the kid can climb in himself (very imported for the youngest who wants to do everything himself like his older siblings)
4. comfortable for both adult and child
5. sun shade!

We bought this carrier to start hiking with our 19 month old daughter. It has been fantastic on the hour hikes we take. Our daughter loves the pack and gets excited at the site of it. I highly recommend it. It easily adjusts to height differences between my husband and me.

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
I'm 5'6" & 140lbs. I just used this pack to hike Grandfather Mtn (8+ miles of rugged trail) with my 2 year old son, who weighs 33lbs. This pack has allowed me to take my son everywhere... dozens of mountaintops, New York City, street festivals/parks. We love it!
I had and old Kelty pack that worked great while he was small, but didn't fit me as well (was too big). I love all the adjustments on the Deuter pack and I can easily shift the weight throughout the hike. Before I got this one I tried the Sherpani and had to send it back because it didn't fit well. I would and do recommend this pack to anyone. Well worth the investment. Leo is super cozy in the seat (which is a true seat and not a saddle like many of the other packs). The five-point harness works great. I tripped once over the root of a tree and caught myself with my nose just inches from the ground. Leo was snug as a bug.
This post would be thousands of words long if I were going to post the many things I like about it...comfort, style, H20 system, lightweight. Only thing I would add is some sort of foot rest and the stand tends to make noise and sometimes snap out while hiking. Would be nice if it stowed more securely when hiking. But 5 stars all the way. If you're considering... get this one!

we realy enjoy this pack the camelbak pocket was definetly a big help, but it would be nice if he had a camelbak pocket of his own so he wasn't stealing mine just when i needed a drink :) over all a good pack for our needs.

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
This beauty of a pack has changed the way we hike. Not only does it look gorgeous, and have a HUGE compartment under where the child sits for all our things, but this baby is functional. At 1,2,5 and 7 our kids are busy and completely gung-ho for hikes. We keep our 2 year old in the KidComfort (our 1 year old is in the KangaKid) which works GREAT for napping (even has a little, washable soft pillow spot for their head). But, when she wants to get out and walk, we can give our 38 lb 5 year old a lift in the kid comfort because it's so roomy for her and comfortable for my husband and she's still miles from the weight limit. We also LOVE that the Deuter packs have sun and rain hoods. You will never regret buying this pack.

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
This pack has been great! We even hauled our 7 month old son through the airports & to Hawaii in it, & enjoyed several hikes there as well. It holds the child securely & comfortably, meanwhile being quite comfy for the one doing the carrying too. The extra attention to detail goes a long way! Our little guy loves to look around wherever we go. I love that it is camelback compatible (although a little tricky to put in) & the large storage places to haul extra clothes, treats, & essentials. The sun/rain shade is a nice accessory we use & like.

Comments about Deuter Kid Comfort II Child Carrier:
I tried using it for an hour or so twice. It was set up at the store by the REI employee. So, it should have been set up properly. Each time my back would hurt pretty badly the next day. We ended up taking it back.
