The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Eagle Creek ORV 30 Trunk Wheeled Duffel - 30'':
I do not own any of the Eagle Creek bags offered for sale because my 15 year old collection is still going strong. They have served my family through about 300 days of travel ranging from cruises to Boy Scout camp. The 36 inch trunk is the most useful piece even though it seems insanely large. We typically fly and then rent a car to tour, so we pack the trunk loosely on the way out of town to keep it under the 50 lb limit. It then fills up with inevitable purchases and on the flight back we check our laundry bag separately to keep the weights of the individual under 50 lbs. In the mean time we can easily get all of our gear from to car to hotel room in one trip.We do have a Switchback but it really only gets used on trips were we are traveling without checked baggage or when we need to carry a ton of books we don't want to check. My personal favorite piece is a soft rectangular bag called the SB Traveler that is sized to the maximum carryon dimensions. The loop handles allow me to comfortably sling it over my shoulder and a sleeve allows it to piggy back on any of the rolling bags handles. [...] I'm sure Eagle Creek has a similar bag in production. We almost never use the pack straps and hip belts on any of our bags. The wheels roll well on almost any surface so why carry? The two trunks are showing non-critical wear and I may replace them in a few years. We use the Eagle Creek folders inside the bags for organization so having one big space is better than having a bunch of dividers or internal pockets.Yes I would recommend Eagle Creek to anybody that plans to travel much.Choose well because you will be using them for many years.
