This was a great addition to my hubba hubba tent. Not to bad to setup once you've done it, but may take a bit longer the first run. The zipper works well on it, but a bit awkward when first used...adapt and overcome is all I can say because the extra gear space and for me personally the sleeping area for fido is nice. I've also found that when you set your tent up with the vestibule into the wind it creates a wind free environment inside your tent. If you own a hubba hubba this is worth the extra weight to have around.

I received this as a gift from my wife for my birthday. This can be used for backpacking although it would be considered heavy in combination with the tent. For long trips I personally would rather have the comfort for my wife and I, so the extra ounces are worth it. We recently used it for car camping, when backpacking I would use it to shelter my gear. However, for car camping we bring our dogs and put them in there. This only becomes a problem when it rains all day and night. For this I would suggest putting a tarp under the shield so water doesn't seep in and create a muddy mess.

This is a great add on to the Hubba Hubba tent adding a great place to get out of wet clothing or to slip in an extra person or pet if needed. There is a hook inside that is perfect for hanging up some of your wet clothing. It could use a full footprint to make it perfect and the door seems awkward to me. I used a spare tarp to make a footprint that works well and keeps the dirt out of the tent!
