    I walk my dog frequently in a small patch of woods and I end up with many mosquito bites in a short period of time. I thought these convertible pants/shorts would help repel bugs. I found them comfortable and lightweight as shorts (even though somewhat big in the waist, but as soon as it got warm out the mosquitoes were after me just as usual. I tried to wear these as pants, but they are very long and do not include any snaps or velcrose to allow tightening at the ankles. At this price, I find them disappointing especially in terms of fit. I am not sure they actually repel anything, but I will continue to try them out in that respect.

      These pants were the best item of clothing I took to Cuba for 2 weeks. Easy to hand wash and dried overnight. Everything else took 2 days to dry. Didn't seem to hang onto sweat either or lose shape. Converted to shorts for the beach. Packs really small. Ideal for travel in the tropics.
