Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
It was great for 40-50 degrees weather, though gusts of wind cut right through the material. Also, watch out for windy conditions near an open fire, fleece melts very quickly and I now have burn marks in a couple of places on it, nothing too severe (no holes) but I won't be wearing it to anything fancy.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
This jacket is form-fitting, soft, and stylish. It would be used for a mid layer or a cool summer evening. It's casual enough for everyday wear and pretty enough for a night out to dinner and music. It's soft and comfortable, and the details are gorgeous. It was worth every cent.
Service and delivery comments:
I had ordered a S which was slightly too big, and returned it for an exchange. Even though the bag broke during transit, and my return form was gone, someone REI returns customer service found me and coordinated an exchange seamlessly. Thank you, REI, but always putting customer service first, and for doing great work.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I have had this jacket for about two weeks. Initially, I loved everything about it. Then it started shedding. It has ruined two pairs of yoga pants, one pair of running tights, a number of shirts and it has shed all over my car. This kind of low performance is more suited to Wal-Mart than Mountain Hardware! It is a disaster.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I've been looking for a soft, fuzzy fleece for awhile but wasn't really satisfied with anything I found. Most fuzzy jackets seemed to shed horribly, or fit awkwardly, or both. Finally settled for a very soft and fuzzy North Face (the Osito) but wasn't really ever totally thrilled with it, both in the fit and the obnoxious amount of shedding. Then I found this jacket from Mountain Hardwear, and fortunately it's everything I was looking for! It's lightweight but relatively warm. While I had issues with the Osito's sleeve length, the sleeves on the Pyxis are great-- not too short, not too long, and they don't ride up like the Osito's did. The fabric is crazy soft but so far does NOT seem to be shedding or matting. Also, the length is great, and the jacket is very flattering. I'd say it's a slimmer fit, so if you want to layer beneath it, I'd size up; otherwise go for your true size. On milder days it's great on its own. It also works extremely well under a vest or shell for colder days-- it layers super smoothly. No matter the weather, this jacket seems to work well depending on how you use it. Overall, I feel that it beats its North Face equivalent by leaps and bounds. Definitely give it a try if you're looking for a super soft and fuzzy fleece!

I bought the fuschia-colored fleece. I typically wear a medium but the small sized fleece fit better. It is one of the most comfortable pieces that I have owned. It is fuzzy both inside and out. It is perfect for a fall coat alone or underneath your winter coat. I never want to take this piece off!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I loved everything about this jacket... until I washed it. I washed it exactly as the tag indicated and the sleeves shrunk more than an inch. I tried to live with it, but cold wrists just don't cut it. I'm really bummed to have to return this jacket as it's warm and cozy. Maybe if it's dry cleaned or hung to dry it would be all good. Sad to see it go!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pyxis Fleece Jacket - Women's:
I live on the coast in No. Cal. and this jacket is perfect. It is lightweight and wind resistant. For colder weather it would be a great laying piece. The fleece is a short pile and seems to wear well. I usually wear an XS (in NF) but in this jacket I wore a S - a better fit while wearing a long sleeve shirt under it. The sleeves are just right, if you have long arms they might be short. I like that it cuts in a little at the waist giving it a little shape. The logos (on the chest, sleeve and back of collar) are white on the black jacket. I loved it so much I ordered it in brown. But the brown wasn't chocolate, more a medium brown with a bit too much underlying yellow tone for my skin. I returned it. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a light warm jacket.
