Mammut Ophir 3 Slide Climbing Harness
From alpine peaks to the climbing crag, the Mammut Ophir 3 Slide climbing harness gives you the comfort and features needed to have a fun time on the rock.
- 2-part webbing construction allows for excellent freedom of movement and comfort while reaching for holds and hanging at belays
- Lightweight design weighs in at 420g and maintains good breathability in warm weather
- Waist and leg loops feature Mammut Slide Bloc buckles that allow for quick adjustments while maintaining the correct double-back configuration
- Reinforcement at the tie-in point limits the effects of abrasion
- 4 gear loops hold quickdraws, cams and other gear (all sold separately)
- Mammut Ophir 3 Slide climbing harness has droppable leg loops and a drop seat buckle that come in handy for quick bathroom breaks

Bought this harness the other day as a replacement for my 6 year old Black Diamond harness. Took it to my local Crag and climbed about 11 pitches in it. It is not too comfortable to hang in at the belays. Really the only things I like about the harness is the plastic protector around the lower tie in loop, and it breathes well. The main thing that turned me off was the fact that the rear gear loops are basically seated directly behind you making it really hard to see what you have on the loops and and which cams you are pulling out. Ill be returning the harness since I mainly climb trad and need to see my gear, probably would make a better sport climbing harness.

This is my first harness that I have owned and I use it for indoor gym climbing. I am an avid bicyclist and have large thighs so I chose this one over the Black Diamond one that is similarly priced due to the sizing recommendations of earlier reviews. I am 215 pounds and 6'2" with a muscular build, so I got the xl. I think the large would have been a better choice, as I am near to the limits of the adjustment on the harness. It was a bit uncomfortable at first around the legs but got more comfortable after getting broken in. I now can climb in it for several hours and never get uncomfortable. Overall it seems really nice and extremely durable.

I use this harness for top rope and sport/lead climbing. It is very comfortable and is easy to use. The buckles are the speed lock type which means no double backing and very simple to use. Overall great harness.

I've had this harness for several months, and I really like it. It's super light and simple, very breathable. It functions really well. The gear loops handle well, it's easy to put on, etc... It's also very comfortable; I've even bolted routes outside and set routes inside in this harness and haven't minded!

I am a beginner at rock climbing and was tired of renting equipment. The staff at REI was very helpful for me to try and test the harnesses before buying. I found this harness to be the best bang for your buck. It fits well with out being too high on your ribs. Leg straps are comfortable and do not slide up. When repelling this equipment puts you into more of a sitting position instead of dangling by your "center". All in all I find this to be a very comfortable, reliable, and affordable harness.

This is my first personal harness, after using rentals or borrowed, and I'm very pleased with the comfort and fit. It's fine to hang in on the wall, and doesn't bind when supporting a climber while belaying.
I also like the buckle system and adjustments - they're fast and easy.
I haven't loaded it up with gear, so I can't comment on the gear loops other than that they're easy to reach.

I spent a good amount of time researching diff brands of harnesses. Based off the price, quality and other reviews I have read, this was the best harness by far. If your trying to decide on a legit harness go with this one! Ive taken many falls and spent hours belaying and climbing with this harness and have yet to have any issues.
