Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
There are only a few bags out there that compare to the Plasma15 in terms of weight, temp rating, and comfort (you know the ones; if not, do your research). So, why the Plasma15? The hood is great, generous down, etc. etc... but what tipped it for me: the foot box. In cold weather, I store my clothes at my feet (so they stay warm... my feet and my clothes). The generous footbox in the Plasma15 is great for this. No more claustrophobic feet! So, why only 4 stars? Nothing is perfect, 4 is as good as I will give. A moment of silence for the geese.

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
I bought this bag last year with my dividend and it has been amazing. I wanted a bag that could handle cold weather but could be used as a quilt in the warmer weather. I used this bag to hike the 175 mile tahoe trail and it was flawless. I have also used it in Yosemite, Arizona, and Washington State. I have had no complaints. I recently used it in Washington to camp in 0 degree weather up on Mt. Spokane. I had a 15 degree sleeping bag liner because this bag is rated for 15 degrees comfort, and I was toasty all night. The bag is light, breathes well and stuff down really small. You really cant beat the weight. Plus Marmot will restuff the bag with fresh down once for you so if you keep the shell good, its like buying two bags for the one price tag. I dont skimp on bag, tent, and backpack, and shoes. Definitely worth the investment.

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
This is the greatest sleeping bag I have ever used in my life! I have only been cold in it twice. Once in a blizzard in Colorado (I got caught using a 3 season tent) and once at Joshua tree at 25 degrees.
So I would amend the temperature rating to higher than 25 degrees. Other than that, this is a lightweight miracle!

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
The bag performed beautifully, but I would not set the rating at 15. Perhaps 25, 20 at the most. But, you will not have a problem with cold feet, very good foot box. Over priced, but a very good product.

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
This is a great bag! The lightness and thinness of this bag was, at first, disconcerting. I was worried that there was no way this nothing of a bag could keep me warm or that it could hold up to rough handling. I was wrong!

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
Looking to reduce my pack weight, I did, and this bag is more true to 15 degrees than the others that sit in the closet. If I didn't wait for my dividend and a sale I would have never bought this bag, but now that I have it, it's my favorite piece of gear. I've have had the marmot never summer bag and that's what made me get this bag, it's a lot warmer, less bulky and way lighter. -PJ

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
Marmot's Plasma series of sleeping bags are exceptional. They are not the lightest in their temperature class (see [...] for that) but they are the most comfortable and well designed of any sleeping bags I have ever used. My Plasma 15 is without a doubt the most comfortable bag I have ever slept in. The down literally puffs up around you like a cloud and it is WARM. Easily good for the 15 degree rating. You can shift the down easily, but internal pockets keep it intact where you want it. The foot box is roomy and the hood is best in the business. The only negatives are that due to the exceptional loft of the 900+ down, it does not pack down quite as small as some competitor's bags (still small, but not best in class), the zipper can be a bit finicky, although I have gotten used to it and now have no issues, and of course, the crazy price. I got mine on sale for a price that was completely reasonable, so that was not an issue either. I can highly recommend this bag. Good Stuff!!!

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
I bought this bag earlier this year with my dividend and it has been the best upgrade I've made to my gear so far. I don't like to venture too far the temperature rating, so the backpacking season is just starting for me in Alaska. First trip out was in May, and I hit the end of the trail when I reached the snow line around 2600ft. I setup camp nearby and had the most comfortable night of sleep ever. The mud frozen on the trail was my only indicator that the temperature dropped below freezing overnight. My watch said 46F inside the tent which is probably why I was sweating in the morning. Definitely recommend this bag for someone needing something around +15F and only weighs 2lbs. One additional note, I also used a short prolite 3 and regular ridgerest to insulate me from the ground.

Comments about Marmot Plasma +15 Sleeping Bag:
I took the sleeping bag out for a small overnight test 2600' at Henry Coe State park. During the night it was windy, it rained, and then rapidly fell below freezing to just above 20 degrees. I woke to a shell of ice completely covering my rain fly. However, all night I slept like a baby for 9 hours warm and toasty in this sleeping bag. I am 5' 10" average build and it was roomy and comfortable. It is roomy enough that before sleeping I was able to play games on my phone with my head and arms completely inisde the sleeping bag. I slept on my back and side comfy either way. The 'thing' that you cinch around your neck to trap body heat works perfectly however it was a bit restrictive so I left it uncinched. There was condensation on the bag in the morning but it did not soak through the shell. I was not easily able to fit my camping pillow inside the bag so had to place the pillow outside. My two biggest complaints: 1. The zipper does tend to snag every so often despite some design features to prevent this. 2. Stuffing this into the provided stuff sack is a chore. The 900 fill down really does not want to be compressed.
Notes: I used a silk sleeping bag liner and slept on a 2.5" Big Agnes pad.
