Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

Excellent tiny, warm, light package for tight squeeze in small kayak hatch. Warm, enough room for a full-figured person, exactly right length for stature described (to 5'6"), and the most delightful feature proved to be that the hood held my air pillow snugly so that even when I rolled around, the pillow was there! Plenty warm-- I was surprised at that due to its lightness! And for kayaking the water repellency/quick dry feature really won out over down products. GREAT VALUE!

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

Before I was going to buy a sleeping bag I was looking for a down bag, but after talking to REI employees we agreed based on my type of outdoor activities I didn't necessarily need a down sleeping bag. I've worked at a summer camp the last two years, continue to backpack in the summer, and do other random camping trips here and there. It seemed what I was really looking for was a bag that packs down small. This certainly does and it's surprising for a synthetic bag to that. I was pretty much sold on that.
Anyway, my only complaint is that when I took it to Sasquatch, I was freezing for at least two out of the four nights. That was a bummer, but I used it all this last summer at the summer camp and I was perfectly comfortable!

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

The bag is fantastic except if you expect it to meet its temp. rating. I would rate the bag at 35-40 F. Got the long version (I am 5'8" and 135) and am glad I did! Can mover around comfortably - no burrito feeling - but snug enough to be warm (unless it goes below 35). I don't love how the zipper can touch your face if you are all zipped up. This is uncomfortable if sleeping on the side. For the price, wish it had a fabric guard for that like my kids' REI ones do.

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

Went camping over Memorial weekend in Teanaway, WA. Put the new bags to use, weekend low was 45 F and I was warm and comfortable in this bag. No zipper problems. The bag packs down pretty tiny, is light weight and fits nicely in the lower pouch on my backpack.

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

I spent a lot of time researching sleeping bags when I finally decided to upgrade from my old rectangle bag. I think I zipped myself into every bag they had hanging at the store. For this price range, it was one of the lightest and smallest bags. It does take some effort to get the bag into its tiny stuff sack but it is worth it for how small and compact the bag gets! I have found what works best for me is to fold the bag in half lengthwise and then roll it starting at the hood since that is the bulkiest part. I used it about a dozen times last year throughout April to October and even though I am a cold sleeper I was pretty cozy most nights. If it dipped below 35F I usually added my sleeping bag liner for added warmth. Overall this a great synthetic fill bag for the price!

This bag is very roomy and comfortable. Foot box and hood are a good size. It is good if you do not intend to camp in cooler temps. I was cold in all my clothes in 45 degree weather.

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

I used this sleeping bag three times; once in a tent with another person (30 F), once in a tent by myself (30 F), and once without any tent (40 F) and just enjoyed sleeping under the stars. Each night, I slept great! I typically get cold very easily. I was quite comfortable in my sleeping bag. I did however, have a liner inside but most of the night, it was down by my feet.
A few of my friends tried it out and wanted to buy it from me. Of course, I refused. :)

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

I bought this bag after much research [...] and am glad I did so. For the price of this bag, I am happy with how it performs. The four stars come from:1) The bag is lightweight for a synthetic bag (a must for me) and it will keep you comfortable in 30+ weather (not 20). 2) I'm 5'6" and fit very well in the bag and even had room to move around a bit after I was zipped completely up in and it (with clothes on). 3) The bag is built for a woman. Hip space was ample and I could zip up and stay completely covered from head to toe. This is a great bag for short backpacking stints (i.e. < 1 week). Even though it is synthetic, it has a low weight. Here is why I rated it 4 stars and not 5:1) [...]this bag is not rated accurately[...]! I camped in MT in 25 degree temps (in the open, in a tent, and in a forest service cabin) and I was pretty cold. What helped me out was the sleeping bag liner that I bought for the bag. I run cold anyway, but this bag is definitely not something for the winter, early spring, or late fall. It is not a 20 degree bag.2) I wish it packed down a bit smaller. The bag hogs up quite a bit of space in my pack (although it is nice that it comes with its own stuff sack). 3) The zipper snags - you really have to take your time and be patient w/ getting the zipper up.

Comments about The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag - Women's:

I have used this product on various camping trips. One trip in particular I camped in Zion NP and Spring temps dipped below 30 degrees and I was cold in this sleeping bag. If temperatures are 40 and above, I am totally comfortable. In all cases, I wear long underwear and a hat when I sleep in this bag and I always lay on top of a sleeping pad. The bag has neat features in that there is a fleece handpocket on the inside as well as the glow-in-the-dark zipper pull. I am not sure that the "vaulted footbox" adds warmth to my feet, though. I really like the drawstring hood which I pull tight to keep all of my body heat inside the bag. Overall, though, the quality of this bag is great and I am pleased with how light it is and how well it compacts. I have to give a 4-star rating, despite being occasionally cold, because I generally sleep cold anyway.
