This jacket is fine for casual rides. It will keep you warm and block the wind and some rain. If you plan to ride hard it traps sweat and quickly becomes uncomfortable. My shirt underneath will be soaking wet when I finish my rides. It is inexpensive.

In spite of the first reviewer's complaints about the zipper I went ahead and ordered this Canari Velo Bike Shell Jacket in size LARGE because I own other Canari gear that functions perfectly. For me the fit is a bit snug in the shoulders and the arms could be a little longer (I'm 6 feet tall, 195 lbs, have a somewhat athletic build, and usually wear a size LARGE or LARGE TALL) but at the reduced sale price I award this item the full five stars for value.

I haven't used this jacket in rainy weather yet, so I can't confirm that it's waterproof. But it does a good job of keeping the wind out and that keeps me warm. I like the jacket. Very nice. Roomy, not restricting at all.

I'm a bike commuter. I have 2 Canari jackets & a vest & I love them all. It's definitely a bummer that the other guy got a lemon but everyone makes them occasionally. I hope he returned/exchanged it. About the only thing I can complain about is that when I go down it doesn't take much to rip the fabric on these. Then again, not crashing would be ideal :)

The zipper on this jacket self distructed while trying it on out of the box. Caught in the fabric on the way up, but had already separated at the bottom by the time it got there. Zipper was completely unusable. I tried to cut corners and get something light and quick, but this won't get me through even the shortest days ride, and with the zipper out, really isn't good for anything. Hoping it was defective maybe instead of just cheap and poorly assembled.
