The REI women's Revelcloud vest stuffs easily into your pack and provides lightweight warmth during cold, dry days on the trail, or layer it underneath a shell on rainy days for ultimate protection.

Revelcloud jacket offers water- and wind-resistance, breathability and warmth without weighing you down
Pertex® Quantum recycled shell fabric and soft lining create an incredibly lightweight, durable and packable jacket
PrimaLoft® Eco synthetic microfiber insulation works a lot like down with low bulk and excellent packability, yet provides warmth even when wet
Revelcloud resists winds up to 50 mph and the Durable Water Repellent finish fends off light rain showers, snow and stains
Side panels made from Polartec® Wind Pro® hardface fleece increase breathability, decrease bulkiness and add a feminine shape; panels are wind resistant to 9 mph
Full-length front zipper features an internal draft flap, and a chin guard protects skin from zipper abrasion
Shoulder seams are eliminated for comfort under pack straps
Collar and armholes are trimmed with stretch binding
2 zip handwarmer pockets and zip chest pocket with media port
Active fit ensures freedom of motion

I love this vest! It fits great and doesn't ride up. The side gussets make it much more flattering than your average quilted vest. I used it as a layering piece for skiing and it was just perfect.

The fit was great and I rarely get to say that since I'm 5'9", slim thru the hips, but have a 32DD bust. I was so tickled when it zipped over my chest. I'm still smiling. I did have to get a size medium, though. I wear a vest as an accessory. I also purchased several long sleeve merrino wool tee shirts. They were overpriced, but again, the sleeves were long enough, the hem was long enough so my crack wasn't indignant, and the twins did not look like beach balls under the shirts.

Love the color, style, fit. I've been waiting to make the switch from down to primaloft. The glacier blue is my fav color! Only complaint is it snags VERY easily, small dog nails and wedding ring after having it only a few weeks. Can't imagine that a tree branch would do on the trail. The collar is a bit high too.

I researched insulated vests and this one came up in the top 5, so when REI had a sale I went to check it out. My initial impression was that it felt so thin I wondered how much insulation it would provide. The price point was right though so I bought it, and I'm SO happy that I did! This vest is warm, soft, comfortable and flattering, and is so very lightweight that it adds zero bulk to any layering system and packs down to almost nothing. It provides the perfect amount of extra insulation, and I love that the arm holes are just snug enough to keep body heat in and wind out without restricting arm movement. I may never take it off.

This is the first REI brand item that I've bought in a long time. We had a couple of bad experiences years ago with some of their products not holding up in the extreme conditions we play in (cold, ice, snow!), and I've steered clear of anything but the big brand names. This vest will have me reconsidering the REI brand again! Having many down jackets/vests in my closet, I have been looking for something synthetic for a while. I sweat a lot when working out even in cold temps, and down does not insulate well when wet. On a whim, with a great sale deal and a gift certificate, I bought this vest sight-unseen from the website. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package! The vest is incredibly lightweight, but it insulates quite well on moderately chilly days. The nylon shell seems a little delicate, but so far it has easily withstood 2 weeks of me wearing it nearly nonstop! My favorite feature is the fleece/stretch panel on each side. This vest will be a great addition to my wardrobe on warm winter days, throughout the spring and fall, and on cool summer nights.

I use my vest all the time. To dress up a tshirt, to add some extra warmth on a cold day. Wear for work or for play. It's very light weight and soft. IT has help up great so for over 4 months of regular use and washing. I highly recommend it. It has become an essential piece in my wardrobe.

I took this on a daytrip to NYC. Walked about 18 miles while wearing the REI flash 18 backpack. The only problem i had was that where the backpack straps go it seems to have worn down the material on the jacket and some of the insulation is coming out of the jacket. Not big holes, but enough for strands of the insulation to sneek out. If you don't wear a backpack wtih this jacket you wont/shouldnt have a problem. I still love the jacket and it fits great. It's great to wear with a t-shirt and jeans in the spring and keeps my core plenty warm. Also the stuff sack that comes with the vest works great to carry the REI flash 18 backpack in.

I received this vest as a gift for my birthday. The fit was great! The stretchy panels under the arm holes helped make for a flattering fit, unlike many other vests I've tried on. I wore it with a light sweatshirt in 30-degree weather and wind and was perfectly comfortable. This vest packs into its own pouch, which will make it handy to take along on our next backpacking trip.

I like this vest a lot. It is very similar to the Revelcloud Jacket. The stretchy side panels give the vest a slim look and feel. The only thing I dislike about it is the way its cut around the arms. It kind of bunches up over my shoulders, especially when I move around. On the bright side the arm holes are snug so cold air can't get in.
