Comments about Burley Travoy Lower Market Trailer Bag:
I recently bought this as an upgrade for my Travoy. I've used the black "storage" bag that ships with the Travoy for the last few months, and while it's worked well, I decided that I wanted to expand my options for this trailer--which I use weekly for grocery shopping for a family of five (including two teenagers). You need to be careful with that bag so that it doesn't slouch and rub the wheels when empty. The Market Bag avoids that issue altogether. Some of my rational was also that I wanted a look that was a bit more 'slick' for wheeling through the store. This is definitely more stylish!
The bag is perfect for light grocery shopping. It has a mesh front, which allows you to see what is inside--a very nice feature when running errands or doing groceries. It fits the Travoy perfectly and is just SO easy to attach or remove due to the clips designed to hook to the pegs on the trailer. There are stiffeners in the sides that provide support without losing flexibility of the bag overall. There is also a drawstring at the top which allows you to snug the fit a bit (but not much). The bag holds a surprisingly large amount of goods. I frequently bring a soft-sided cooler with me for picking up frozen and refrigerated items, and it fits easily inside of the lower bag with plenty of room for more groceries on top. I put a full size orange umbrella in the bottom bag for this photo. You can see the folded up blue cooler as well. When the cooler is open, it fits quite comfortably in the square bottom, leaving more space at the top for the groceries.
Be aware than you can add or subtract bags at will with the Travoy. Also, you can see in the photos that I still use my grocery bag panniers. The Travoy clears the rack with plenty of room for me to continue to use both of them while at the same time using the trailer. That's a beautiful thing!
The only negative? No rain protection whatsoever. I purchased the optional rain cover (which fits very snugly just above the top bag--you can see it in the photos; it's the small gray package just above the top Market Bags hand grab), which I recommend if you use the trailer year round. The rain cover will fit over just about anything you might put on the trailer--even oddly sized things.
