    I have been skiing consistently for the last seven years and have begun to purchase my own equipment instead of renting. For hiking I use Lekki poles but decided that for skiing I'd go with the K2s because they are known for their ski equipment. I took them out for the first time a few weeks back and by the end of the two day ski trip, I am looking to replace the baskets. The baskets look like I rolled down the mountains. They are no longer round and are bent all around. I'm having to buy new baskets and I wish I would have bought the lekki poles instead. The price is right if you are willing to buy a heavier duty basket for another 15 bucks or so.
