The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Casio SGW300-1AV Multifunction Watch:
I needed a new everyday watch and I wanted something that was rugged, comfortable, and easy to read. Since I've always had good luck with Casio I looked to them first. This watch is perfect for my job and everday wear. It's easy to read, has a very lightweight and balanced feel for such a big watch, and it looks good. I thought it might feel bulky but it isn't at all. It has some nice features but the time is the most important thing to me. At this price I don't think you can beat it.

Comments about Casio SGW300-1AV Multifunction Watch:
Use it for keeping time obviously but it was a great reference for hiking in the mountains. I was usually within 80-150 ft of posted elevations. It is more accurate if you use reference points and calibrate the watch accordingly. Overall value for [$] seems pretty decent. Serious mountaineers I would upgrade, but I found it very useful especially when there was significant avalanche danger at certain altitudes it worked great to have an idea where you are at.

Comments about Casio SGW300-1AV Multifunction Watch:
Watch was dead on arrival. Needs a new battery, right? Per the owner's manual: "The battery that comes loaded in your watch when you purchase it is used for function and performance testing at the factory. This type of test battery may go dead quicker than the normally rated battery life noted...Note that you will be charged for replacement of this battery, even if replacement is required within the watch's warranty period...When replacing the battery, also request a check for proper water resistance. Note that you will be charged separately for water resistance inspection." So let me get this straight: I buy a BRAND NEW watch at FULL RETAIL price, and right out of the box I have to PAY to have the battery replaced, and then PAY SOME MORE to have the BRAND NEW watch tested to see if it's water resistant, before I can even use it?? I'm returning this piece of junk!

Comments about Casio SGW300-1AV Multifunction Watch:
This watch is a great value, especially for the price. A lot of people have given alti watches poor reviews for inaccuracy. You have to know how one works. Even analog altimeters need calibrating. They work off air pressure, so every time the weather changes you should probably calibrate it. With that said this watch holds its accuracy for a reasonable amount of time. When choosing this watch I was also considering another Casio that also had a compass for around $100 more. I think I made the right choice, because no compass is worth $100.
The only complaint I have on this watch is that I already have a scratch on the face of the watch. I know that they were trying to meet a price point, but they really should have used better quality when it comes to the readable surface.
