I would not recommend Garmin at all because of their new software policy. This is my 2nd Garmin device, and I CAN NOT load already purchased software on it. Once Garmin software gets loaded on a GPS, it is tied to that particular unit FOREVER, and can not be transferred to a newer unit you may buy. You have to buy a SECOND COPY of the software & install it again, that's right, two copies of the same software on you computer. Just say no to this [*] & get a different brand

Once you customize this device with your own maps then it is a very good GPS. The basemap was very lacking and made me sad :( Otherwise I would highly recomend this because of its low price and lots of cool features.
