The Madshus Annum Omni skis let you shed the weight of portly boards while maintaining downhill performance.

  • Featuring the grippy MGV Omni positive base pattern, the Madshus Annum skis let you leave unwieldy climbing skins at home while you efficiently tour up slopes
  • MGV Omni positive base pattern features round, spaced scales in transition zones for efficient glide, and sharp, tight scales underfoot for excellent grip
  • Lightweight paulownia wood core with maples stringers creates an agile ski with a smooth, even flex
  • 50mm carbon powerband is laminated above the core to increase longitudinal stiffness without adding cumbersome weight
  • Specially tuned single camber balances the blend between tourability and turnability for efficient travel in backcountry terrain
  • Progressive sidecut varies the shape along different parts of the ski—more aggressive in the tip, less aggressive in the tail
  • The progressive sidecut results in confident, quick turn initiation in hard snow and easy release in crud and powder
  • 78mm waist and 109mm tip create great soft-snow performance
  • Full metal edges help you carve turns on hardpack snow and icy slopes

Please note: Madshus products can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

Comments about Madshus Annum MGV Omni Cross-Country Skis:

I completely agree with telegeezer's review. Nailed the description. Spot on for the boots and bindings as well. Could step down to Voile 3 pin cable and leather 3 pins if trying to save weight and money. But Excursions and Swithbacks make this rig the go to for all day/multiday tours over mellower terrain. I have another shorty pair with Silvrettas on them for a mountaineering approach ski. For when skinny metal edge xc skis won't cut it, and fatty bc skis are overkill, these fit a niche that not much else can.

    • Touring for turns

Comments about Madshus Annum MGV Omni Cross-Country Skis:

Exact copy of the discontinued Karhu Guide. Great turning ski for moderate slopes, which it can climb without skins. Match it with Voile Switchbacks (with short heel lifts) and 75 mm boots, like the Excursion. Not recommended for the steeps, but fantastic for linking teles down through the trees. Backcountry only--too wide for groomed tracks. The aggressive kicker pattern makes it a bit slow on the glide--so go a little steeper. Not a resort ski.
