    I am slightly older than a "girl" but wanted a case that I could use overnight while on 2-3 day car trips, heading to a destination where we were staying longer-simple to take into a hotel with change of clothes, pajamas, small electronic reader. We just got back from such a trip and it was perfect-easily held enough for two nights. It has straps tucked in a zipper compartment that can convert it into a backpack which could also be useful-I was happy with the crossbody strap and handles. No complaints.

      When I read the dimensions of this bag on-line, I was skeptical that it would be too small for my 7 year-old daughter. But I decided to order it anyway. I was able to pack enough clothes for all 3 of my daughters for a weekend trip. So I was pleasantly surprised with how much it could hold. There are also detachable backpack straps on the back of this bag, so it's easy for her to carry it that way too. This is perfect for overnight or weekend trips or school or sport activities.
