The general-purpose Seals Sneak 2.2 spray skirt is great for moderate conditions. It helps keep water out while protecting legs from harsh sunlight.

Midweight nylon packcloth is coated with polyurethane for water resistance
Strong bungee rim gripping system firmly secures skirt to cockpit coaming
Front webbing grab loop with handle assists with entry and wet exits
Tensioned deck stay creates a convex bend in fabric so water runs off, rather than collecting and pooling on top the skirt

This product worked well for the first three years but has begun to leak. The tape on the seams has begun to peel off the seams resulting in a wet cockpit. This skirt has not been used very much so I was disappointed that it began to leak so quickly. My wife's 1.7 size Seals cover is the same age and also has the same problem. I sent an email to Seals but never received a response.

One of my favorite features is the zipper in the front that allows you to reach into your kayak for whatever reason without having to detach the skirt. It's also a great way to let cool air in when you want it. It has two external mesh pockets with zippers which I found invaluable. Great for carrying an energy bar, waterproof camera, etc. Have only used it once, but it looks very durable.

I love how this skirt has a zipper to easily access the interior of the cockpit so you don't have to remove it from the combing. In my opinion a touring skirt is really a "splash" skirt anyway, keeping waves and other wetness from entering the cockpit, and keeping sun off of legs too. This skirt does a great job at both - water beads and rolls off easily. (I can't say for how tight/waterproof it is if you actually roll over, but that's not what I bought it for anyway.) The construction is quality - and you don't sacrifice having easy access to waterbottles and snacks inside the cockpit. I've never been happier with a skirt!

Comments about Seals Sneak Spray Skirt - 2.2:

I wasn't convinced I needed a spray skirt for the summer, but I'm so glad that I found this one -- I was able to kayak and stay dry without wearing my bulky waterproof pants, but stay cool at the same time (even on a 70+ day without wind), thanks to the generously sized zipper. I was able to keep some small items close at hand with the zippered pouches as well. The size 2.2 fit snuggly on my Riot Edge 11.

The best part about this skirt was that I could store it in my hatch and put it on while I was on the water, since it fit over me and my lifejacket with room to spare. I didn't have to put on the skirt prior to launching, which helped with the ease of entry.

Great skirt -- I highly recommend for mild weather. I'm sure it will also work well in cool weather, and will undoubtedly find out in just a few months.
