        I have the HD GoPro and used it a few times and got tired of reviewing the footage at home only to find the angle was wrong or I inadvertantly took a picture and not video. Adding the LCD gives you the ability to check angles and review footage. Not to mention no more having to guess at what the beeping was as the LCD adds an interface menu! As a side note, to help preserve battery life, once all adjustments are made and you are ready to film you can turn off the LCD or just pop it off and you are set to go!

        I had my boy wear it last week for his first 5 year old novice BMX main event and the film is priceless!

        I use the product every time I use a GoPro. You are shooting blind without it. I quite literally wouldn't use a GoPro without. Pop the screen on, line up your shot, remove screen, record action. Super simple. For anyone looking to be more creative and get a great or unique shot, this is basically mandatory. Best feature is taking video, and actually being able to see if the video was any good! Without the LCD screen you have a high chance of taking a shot, then having to redo it - after plugging the camera into your computer. For outdoor activities that is unacceptable! Get the LCD screen its totally worth it to get the most out of your GoPro!

        This is a must have item if you plan to change shot positions often, and wish to be accurate with set-up. It's also nice to review your captured video and still images in the field quickly, without having to connect to an external device. The drawback I see, unless I am just un aware, is the fact this LCD screen does not work with the double battery back. A power drawback. Perhaps, the camera becomes unstable with all the attachments used at once.

              After finally scoring one of these since it's been on backorder forever, I was thrilled to see it was worth the wait.

              The gopro is so much easier to use now that it has a viewfinder. Now you can align your shots to know what you are exactly filming and you can playback to know you got the shot you wanted.

              I also appreciate the improved functionality of playback with being able to fast forward and rewind videos when viewing on the lcd or my tv.

              Overall, a great accessory. The only drawback is it makes the head harness a bit top heavy when on it, so I've switched over to using the chesty mount.

                I don't really find the screen useful in too many situations. Unless you are sticking the camera to a vehicle or something that can easily support the extra weight, it isn't worth it. It becomes much too bulky and heavy. The only times I find it useful is if you wanna make sure your camera has the right angle on whatever you are about to film . You can pop in the screen once the camera is in it's fixed position and double check that you won't be filming just the sky and everything not exciting. Once final adjustments have been made you can take the screen off.Also, if you want an easier way to scroll the much simplified menu that the GoPro has.
