Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
Love this top! The stripes give it lots of personality. I like the new cut. As a 36D, the words "form fitting" frequently mean "masher", so I like this fit with enough material to drape nicely over the body.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
Finally, I can wear these tops! I have not bought before now because as a 36DD, even the XL was just too "form fitting" (for me this term reads as "masher"). Because the fabric itself drapes nicely I like the looser fit under the bustline, and it is not too tight across the back, since I usually wear this over another top. I am pleased to finally find some capilene tops that have some personality and good fit.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
I don't wear it as a base layer. Its too roomy, not tight enough. I usually wear something more form fitting underneath. It's great for layering thou. I run a lot in cold weather. Like the turquoise color.
I am almost always a medium. 5'7" 150 lbs and its quite roomy. In contrast, the smart wool midweight zip top I have is very form fitting (also md) and does the job a lot better. But it is really expensive and not worth it to a lot of people (i've been eyeing it for over a year and i finally gave in when it was on sale)

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
I have worn this on mountain expeditions and can't say enough good things about it. It wicks very well and is still warm when wet. Very comfortable which is important when left on for multiple days and nights. The long zip is great for temperature regulation. It is not a snug fit. In cold weather I wear it as a base layer but also in place of a light fleece for warmer weather activities. This product will keep you alive in the mountains.
I am 180cm (5'11") and the L fits me perfectly.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
I LOVED my Cap3 zip-T (purchased several years ago) until the ER cut it off me after an accident. It fit PERFECTLY snug, comfortable, flexible...
I promptly went shopping for a replacement, as it was my favorite thing to wear for all outdoors activities (sailing, hang gliding, hiking, skiing...) I was really disappointed with the fit on the "redesigned" Cap3 tops! I initially thought that there must be a glitch in the "batch" I was trying on but several weeks later I tried again but found the same horrible fit: too tight across the shoulders, too short sleeves and way too loose in the torso/waist! ugh - so unflattering, especially in comparison to the one I had previously loved! I ended up buying a (more expensive) SmartWool top, which is OK, but not the same...
I really wish Patagonia would bring the old design back.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-T - Women's:
I have the previous version of the Cap 3 zip and it is by far my favorite shirt to wear during the cool and cold weather. It breathes well and has a great fit, with a long torso and arms for my 5'10" figure. I wanted another one to add to my wardrobe and checked out the new edition. I was not happy at all! I am a consistent large in everything Patagonia but the large in this was huge in the waist and not flattering at all. The medium fit better in the waist but the arms and chest were too small. I was dying to take it off after feeling the itchy stitching along the arms too. I also thought the fabric wasn't as substantial. I've worn my older edition just about every time out and it looks as good as new. I've managed to track down an older version on the web before they disappear for good. Had REI's cap 3 equivalent been longer in the arms I would have sprung for that over the new Patagonia Cap 3.
