Comments about GORE RideOn Derailleur Cable Kit - Low Friction System:

The shifting of my Campy Chorus 10 speed derailleurs / Ergo Levers had gotten progressively worse over the last few months. Brought the bike to a high tech bike shop here in SD because I just couldn't "dial them in".

Got the bike back and if anything the shifting was worse!!!! Happened to notice while cleaning the bike that the derailleur cable housings were cracking quite a bit up by the handlebars. Began the quest for new cables.

Came down to Yokozuna Reaction or Gore Ride On. Choose Gore because the Yokozuna cable housings are reported to be difficult to cut. And I liked what people were saying about the Gore Ride On's. Very slight edge, my opinion, based on reading a ton of reviews.

Bottom line the bike (7 year old Kestrel) has never shifted better. Snick, snick, snick up and down the gears. In fact it took a couple of rides to get used to just how fast and smooth the shifting was. Some shifts were so smooth / fast that I had to look back at the cassette because I couldn't believe the shift had taken place.

Highly recommended... can't see how you could go wrong with these super cables.

PS I you don't have the time, tools or desire to re-cable your bike the REI bike mechanics should have no problem taking on this straight forward but time consuming bit of work.
