Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I love these pants. They are incredibly comfortable and allow freedom of movement without being super baggy. Also, I really appreciate that REI kept the 30'' inseam on these pants true to length, where as I feel like some other brands will say 30'' but really be closer to 31 or 32. Great for casual wear and traveling, but I could probably climb in them as well. They are made of a durable material. The side pocket fits my iphone nicely. Plan get another pair in a different color.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I really like these pants. They are very comfortable and fit well. The articulated knees are perfect. I have some Kuhls and compared to the Kuhls these pants are slightly less hefty, but seem durable enough for moderate outdoor adventures. Great pants!

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
For a first time buy of REI branded clothing, I am really surprised how comfortable these pants are. I own Kuhl and Gramicci brand and the Pulaski pants are just as comfortable. The clean design make them look nice in the office and they're still tough enough for regular day use. You don't get much better than the Pulaski pants.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I like these pants but lately I've found that many manufacturers seem to be saving money on the zippers on men's pants. Even when I wear the pants well below the real waist, below the navel I find the zipper lacking in length.
Were it not for my one gripe I'd probably buy several pairs in different colors if available.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
These pants are very comfy, but seem to be stained by anything they come into contact with. I bought two pairs of them for a 3 week trip to the Middle East and Greece. The first day I spilled some juice from a falafel on my brown pair. I tried to blot it up to no avail. That night I tried cleaning them with a little hand soap and to my dismay found that the grease had stained them. I have subsequently found that almost any substance that comes into contact with these pants will permanently stain them: dirt, fruit juice, oil, and even water (water left a faint water mark on my khaki pair). In addition, the velcro that keeps the side pocket closed came loose after about a month.
I have been an avid fan of REI equipment since I bought my first backpack from them 20 years ago. However, I am finding that REI's quality has plummeted in the last few years, while their prices have risen. I have $10 generic brand pants that are much better quality than these Pulaski Pants. I will probably shy away from REI brand equipment in the future.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
If i can only take 1 pair of pants, these are it. I recently spent 10 days in Seattle with only these and one other pair of pants -- and i hardly wore the other pair. The weight and cut is right for hiking and camping, maybe even light climbing or scrambling. But they look perfectly normal in town or in transit. I like the pocket layout, the articulated knees, the "rugged" look, and especially the gusseted crotch. The fifth pocket fits an iPhone with case.
The name and the heel / knee reinforcements give the impression that these are "trail work" pants, and they are certainly tougher than jeans, but not as heavyweight as Mountain Khaki or Carhartts. Which, really, is kind of good. Unless you're a professional trail builder, these are *plenty* tough and much lighter than those other options.
The dark brown color is very versatile, but "haystack" is unfortunately too well-named; it's yellower than it appears online (monitors do vary, of course). I like them so much that i wear them anyway. Still, a light khaki and a grey color would be welcome additions.
