Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I had been looking for a replacement pair of fleece pants and these are perfect! Being vertically challenged at 4'11", petite fit was a must, so I was thrilled when I found these. Great product at a reasonable price!

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I don't like the zipper at the ankle; it is irritating. The waistband is made out of different fabric yet manages to be equally as bulky as last years self-fabric casing. Note: my REI size is S but I found last years model to be tight in the thigh so I bought a size M of these. The waistband in the size M is SMALLER than the waistband in last year's size S. And I'm an hourglass. If you have a thick waist you should avoid these pants like the plague.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
Super comfortable fleece pants. Bought these so I could be warm while on deck photographing glaciers in Alaska, but they are so soft and comfy I wear them every day when I get home from work. So much nicer than sweat pants. Wish the rise was a bit higher. So warm and comfy. Might just get a second pair. Love that I could get them in petite sizing.

I wear these pants everyday in the winter especially if it is cold outside. I wear them when I walk, run and play. I love the comfort they offer and how they keep their shape. Best pants ever.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I wanted some warm, casual pants that would fit under my REI rain pants for cold weather hiking. I weigh 103 lbs. and am 5'3" tall with a 28 inch inseam. I bought the petit and the pants fit fine, but could have been about a 1/2 inch longer for me, but it's really not that big of a deal. I almost bought the xs, but I'm glad I didn't as the small fits perfect. The waistband is snug, but it is not uncomfortable. I know a medium would have been too baggy in the rear end. They are super cozy and very warm and light weight.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I am petite 5'1" so the petites are even a little long in the crotch but I just roll the waist band down and they fit great. Not as "stylish" (if fleece pants are stylish) as the old REI cabin fever pants but a great alternative. Nicer than sweats but cozy like PJs.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
These pants had features I want – zip hand pockets, ankle zips, and lightweight fleece. However, the waistband is very small for the other proportions. I normally wear a size 8 in REI clothing, and the medium I tried was supposedly a size 8-10. I tried a larger size, but the hips and thighs were too baggy. Even my daughter who wears a size 4-6 found the waistband tight.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I read the reviews here before i jumped to buy them. Needed something for winter and I knew Polartec is a good tech i can trust. I am Petite S, but i read review, most suggest go one size higher, so I ordered M, but turned out S is a better fit. Thanks to REI staff getting the S for me!! When S arrived, and i tried them on, gee, i wish i could just cut the tag and walk out, i dont want to take them off. they are warm, light and comfy, you can pretty much wear them in bed, too, but they dont look like PJ, the pocket on the sides and zipper on the bottom are great, covenient for me.
I would suggest get 2 pairs, this is the first time i buy these pants, so i could not compare these with the old pairs as other posts did, but i am happy already!

I tried these on and never took them off all day. They were warm and very comfortable as I hung the Christmas lights on the house. They washed well. I plan on buying a second pair.
I have already told my sister that she has to buy of a pair of these pants.

Comments about REI Polartec 100 Teton Fleece Pants - Women's Petite:
I have two pair of these pants that I bought several years ago - one probably more than several years that is wearing thin. I love them and wear them everywhere for almost everything during cool weather and wanted another pair to take the place of the one that is oldest. My older ones I would have rated five stars, these sadly, only three. The fit is not as nice - the bottom of the legs in my older ones is nice and trim, always looks neat; the new pair is baggy at the bottom, looking more like pyjamas. Also, the construction is inferior in the new pair - the inseam pulls after washing and drying as per instructions, creating a somewhat "bowlegged" look. The first pair that was sent to me had this flaw to such a degree that I took them back to be replaced - they were truly unwearable except as sweatpants at home.
The fabric also is inferior to my older pairs. There was so much lint after washing and drying that it took me fifteen minutes with a lint roller to get all the very fine black lint off all the clothing I washed in the same load with these pants. I truly hope this will not happen every time I wash them. All in all, not the quality I have come to expect from REI products. I have noticed that the quality of almost all fabrics on the market has deteriorated seriously over the last ten years, and that REI probably has fewer quality choices available in the price range they want to sell products in than they did previously.
REI did cheerfully replace the pair I had to return, and because there was not a pair in stock at my local store, had another pair sent to me free of shipping charges. I am a long time REI member and will always shop REI first for my outdoor clothing and gear needs.
Would I recommend this? Not sure. Perhaps with reservations, depending on what a friend is looking for in a fleece pant.
