Novara Headwind Bike Jacket - Men'sis rated4.75out of5by8.
Rated4out of5bykestrelriderfromGood jacketThis is a nice jacket and does a good job of keeping out the wind. Despite its weight, it keeps me warm. I found the fit on the sleeves and chest a little tight, but not uncomfortably so.

Rated5out of5byjpBreezyBabyfromGreat Jacket at Great PriceI'm new to biking, and got this jacket now that the temperatures are dropping and I'm going for longer weekend rides and riding to work (35 minute ride). I selected it for the style and the low price point, and I have been incredibly happy with it.
With a wife beater and t-shirt underneath I've been plenty warm on some cold days. When I've bundled up beyond that I've overheated once I start exerting myself, but no worries because I just tossed my scarf in the big back pocket, and unzipped the jacket a bit. Zipper = Thermostat.
Has been great in the wind, and have yet to ride it through any real rain.
I'm 6'0" 165 lbs and have unusually long arms. I have a medium which fits snug to my body (the way I'd like a bike jacket to), and was delighfully the right length in the arm.
Others have warned of the stitching at the thumb going bad quickly, but I have had 0 problems. REI is amazing about returns anyways so I'd buy with confidence.
The zipper does tend to pucker a bit though (not sure if this is an exception or the norm to all bike jackets given the nature of the materials used).
More colors would be nice, particularly brighter options.
Great buy combining everything above with the fact that it is one of the cheapest jackets REI sells. I think the only reasons to buy a different jacket would be for the jacket color, or for extreme weather performance.

Rated5out of5byeDDuBBfromGreat mid weather cycling jacketGreat jacket for cycling from the low 30s to the mid 50s and all points in between. Saw a black and gray jacket in the store and fell in love with the price, value, and functionality. Unfortunately black and gray is a bit too stealthy so I swapped out for a chili powder jacket and all is well. The wind stopper works great killing the wend while the back allows for sweat to evaporate without soaking or freezing you to death. When paired with the appropriate base layers this jacket provides excellent protection while allowing a full range of motion. I had to call a store out of state to get the color I wanted but it was worth it!

Rated5out of5bydrewerzfromgood jacketSo fit is good, used it alone (no layer underneath)for road ride with temps in high 40's..felt no wind/cold penetration going fast downhill; I prefer openpockets like on regular jerseysbut these werefine, these zippered pockets would be hard to open with full-fingered glove, chest pocket good for phone/keys but has a hole for earphones??!!Are we encouraging people to ride while plugged in? At list of $99 is a bit steep but now reduced to $69-overall very satisfied- I got a large size, fits me perfectly at 6'2"

Rated5out of5byRobear mtbfromGreat Jacket! It is my second winter using this jacket. I can say it has been my best winter clothing investement. It is a great value and I am going to purchase another when this one wears out. I noticed that where the thumb inserts at the end of the sleeve there is some minor weeknesses in the seam. I will need to put some additional stiching to reinforce. I have worn it in freezing conditions, snow and light rain. The windproof features are amazing. Most of the time I wear a light jersey short sleeve and the jacket and it is perfect. It is packable. I did reccomend this to a friend and he loves his too.

Rated4out of5byryanofwacofromGreat fit but a little thinThe trim fit of this is excellent and I'm very happy that it is longer than average.
I'm 6'2" and 185 lbs. I'm lanky but with an athletic build. Based on the reviews I read, ordered a Medium. It was way too small. I exchanged it for a Large, which was absolutely perfect. It's not baggy at all and the sleeves are the perfect length.
I bought this exclusively because of the thumb holes and they don't disappoint.
I highly recommend this but don't expect it to keep you warm in really cold weather. This is best used as wind protection or a light layer for fall or moderate winter weather.

Rated5out of5bytellyhofromSoftshell is key.For some reason, many bike wear manufacturers have not yet figured out that softshell beats the hell out of nylon for bike jackets. Nylon: clammy, noisy. Softshell: mostly wind proof, breathable, warm. For many winters, I've been using a non-bike-specific Softshell for riding. No longer. This jacket is made for bikers: long sleeves, drop tail, reflective piping, and fitted. It's awesome. Buy it if you ride in the cold.
