Comments about REI Backpacker Plus Extended First-Aid Kit:

This is really about most of the REI First Aid Products. They really do have a solid product and have filled them with most of necessary items an everyday person will use them for. The only complaints I have are, as mentioned above, they are not water resistant and I think that naybe that would be a nice feature in next years models... Also, the genaric bandaids/bandages that they have in there stink and are not durable to enough to stay where they need to. I was hoping that they would have more heavy duty than what they were. I would really like to see the Fabric Elastic Strips included in here. All in all, they REI has done a good job with this and as an EMS provider I am happy with what they have out in there and the guide is pretty straight forward to which is a plus!

Comments about REI Backpacker Plus Extended First-Aid Kit:

Being a paramedic, I have to say for the money, it's a great little kit, a wide selection of medical supplies and some room to add your own stuff. The major downfall is the packaging, the nylon is nowhere near water resistent or water proof, upon a recent trip this weekend we got caught in a down pour, even in an rei pack, it got soaked, to the point where all the paper supplies are now trashed and I just purchased the kit last week. Very disappointed in the packaging

Comments about REI Backpacker Plus Extended First-Aid Kit:

I was wary when I first looked into buying this kit. I have no medical experience so for me getting anything larger than this would just be dead weight. It's small, light, easy to pack, and contains items that I will probably get to use. I have not actually had to use the product fortunately but I know when I do need to use it everything will be neat, organized, and easy for me to use. For those that like hiking this is a must.
