    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Shimano A600 SPD Sport Road Bike Pedals is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent SPD Road Bike Pedal I have been using Shimano SPD pedals exclusively for more than 5 years on 2 different bikes. I purchased these SPD Pedals to put on my new carbon road bike. These are one of the lightest SPD pedals on the market, lighter than many higher end SPD-S pedals, and their performance has been excellent. Like all Shimano SPD pedals if you turn the tension spring all the way loose, your shoe will never pop out even under the most oppressive climbing conditions and should you need to get out the clip in an emergency, just a slight movement to the right disengages. Very helpful for city riding. While the entry is only on one side, after riding a while it should become "second nature." I was concerned about this at first because my other SPD's are 2 sided. If you need to ride sometimes without clip shoes, you can put sneakers on, and pedal either side because the platform is relatively flat and wide enough. These pedals are the perfect color match for Shimano Ultegra drive-trains but can be used with any drive-trains. Just one note: The coating on these pedals scrapes off easy and shows wear, but does not effect performance. That look does not bother me and I am particular about the condition of the my bike.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just OK I have used Shimano products for years and this is the first time I have been disappointed. Clipping in and out is a chore, even with tension set at its lowest and the pedal cleaned and fully lubed. Probably will return as soon I as I obtain an replacement pedal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight larger base pretty Although you can only clip in on one side that was fine with me because it was an easy way to cut the weight. It's the larger platform that my feet ride on that I like. Although I'm riding a road bike I wear mountain bike shoes which are not rigid on the bottom like regular road bike shoes. My complaints, not there fault, is that I've already adjusted them as tight as they can go. I need to switch to a different style if I want it tighter. I've only used these on a couple of rides, it winter, and I'm hoping when things warm up the pedals will spin easier. I'll figure out getting clipped in if the pedal is consistent. Right now it try's to hold a position, so I have look each I need to clip in or fumble around a little. Even if it's upside down I can still easily pedal. Finally, these don't use a wrench but large hex key and pedals require a lot of torque. These were exactly what I was looking for. The lighter weight and larger base, and finally they look good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPD Pedals with a Road Bike Aesthetic For rides during which you are on and off your road bike a lot (e.g. extended tours), these pedals allow you to use recessed SPD cleats and mtb shoes for easier walking around and not wearing down the usual non-recessed cleat for road pedals. Unlike typical mtb pedals, this is a sleek pedal that looks good on a road bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seamless transition from mtn. SPD pedals I'm an avid mountain bike rider, so when I got my first serious road bike I wanted to stick with entry/exit I'm familiar with and use my mtn. bike shoes. These SPD pedals fit the bill. They look good with Shimano Ultegra components, are comfortable for hours, and feel predictable. Only very minor issues are learning to flip the one-sided pedals over and entry/exit which is stiffer than my mtn. pedals. I expect that will improve with tension adjustment and break-in.
