First off this paddle is simply beautiful. The grain of the wood & the smooth finish are breath taking. At first i wanted to hang it in my Cigar Room!
It is a tad heavy but it's easy to paddle. I think that the buoyancy of the wood helps to make it feel lighter in the water.
The ergonomic shaft eliminates fatigue from a long day on the water and it has added more power to my down stroke. (It is ideally suited for a high angle paddling stroke).
It's surprisingly durable too, I've bounced it off a few rocks & it still looks new.
This is my go to paddle for 8-10 mile flat water trips.
I am going to order another one in the near future.

After shattering my wrist several years ago, a standard shaft is quite painful for even a short trip. This paddle is simply amazing. Was able to go out two days in a row with no pain in my wrist. It is incredibly light and beautiful. I was raving about the new paddle on my first trip out with my girlfriend, I had her use it and she just ordered one for herself. LOVE IT!!!!!
