The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about PMI 3mm Utility Cord - Package of 50 ft.:
I typically use 550 cord but couldn't find any in REI when I needed some cord on the fly. I use cord for tying knots to secure ridge lines, tarps, tents, items in camp, etc. 550 Cord is much easier to work with. While this product is tough, it is very thin and easily tangles. I keep my daisy chained to minimize tangles. It's also rough on the hands if you aren't using gloves - ultra thin tough cord will burn your hands with heavy use. A good product at a reasonable price but if you have the time to order 550 cord, it's far superior.

Good stuff, as advertised. I use this cord around the campsite: rigging hammocks and tarps, hanging food, replacement shoelaces, etc., etc. In fact, I'm buying more of it today.

I didn't know how badly I needed this until I got some. It holds all life together and it comes in gorgeous colors.
For starters, it keeps your tent from blowing away in high winds.
It's an inexpensive gift for friends and family; everyone I give it to says the same thing: How did I get by without it?

For the price I thought it would be....eh. but Its actually very nice cord. Good feel, can twist a bit if working with long bits of it but other than that well made quality cord. The colors are great! I got orange blue and black!! Love them all!! Can't beat the price!!

Great utility cord. I use this for everything whether it is a clothes line, tent guylines, adhering my nalgene to my pack, etc. I always have 50ft. with me when I go on camping/canoeing trips.

Comments about PMI 3mm Utility Cord - Package of 50 ft.:
I was working at a summer camp where we went on 3-4 day overnights in different locations around California. Using 8+ person tents, we had about 13 campers and 3 adults. One of the tents was missing main poles and stakes.
We ran the utility cord through the pole holes that ran throughout the tent, used the rain-fly poles as cross members tied off between to two opposing trees. This took 20 minutes, 2 50' utility cords and a little adhesive tape on the joints. Extra line from tent to tree doubled as a clothes line. Bought these the day before on a whim, do not go anywhere without them.

Comments about PMI 3mm Utility Cord - Package of 50 ft.:
I've used utility cord for several decades, mostly as tent lines and tarp lines. My family teases me about this and sometimes gives me a 50-ft. package for my birthday. I just finished using my first package of the PMI 3-mm cord, which REI recently began to carry.
This stuff is great! It is quite a jump in quality from the REI branded product that REI formerly sold, and is an outstanding value for the price. The color is an added bonus.
