OK product. No leaks but need to vent lid. drilled a hole and put a plastic plug in it. 2 gal is a great size when looking at other options. no issue with valve.

We bought this to go on a week-long car-camping road trip with our family. We wanted to have a supply of drinking water on hand to replenish water bottles in the car, as well as have drinking water handy at the campgrounds. This worked just fine. We had no problems at all with leaking (perhaps Coleman has fixed this since the previous reviewer's purchase a year ago). We found that you need to loosen the lid slightly to get the water to pour out well, then we would tighten it again before putting it back in the car. We'll definitely bring this on future road trips.

Bought two of these jugs to mix Gatorade Powdered sports drinks for our Running Club. The first jug continuously drip leaked through the spring loaded spigot. The second jug continuously drip leaked around the spigot perimeter seal. Hand tightened spigot (didn't want to break the plastic)... but it continued to leak from perimeter of spigot.[...]
