by fromdisappointed I'm disappointed with this jacket. I'd read so many great reviews about how warm and versatile it was. My gripes: it's very stiff/doesn't move well & doesn't seem very breathable (& no pit zips!), so IMO, not good for skiing, hiking, or climbing. I'm 5'3", 110 lbs, usually a XS or S in TNF. The S fits, but if I roll my shoulders back, it felt tight across the chest (I'm pretty flat). It would definitely feel tight if I had any mid-weight layers underneath, which would be necessary in the winter b/c it's much thinner than expected & doesn't seem like it would be very warm. Also, the cuffs are really tight, so you can't roll them up if you get warm. It's kind of short, so not good coverage in the cold. If you want a nice-looking, tailored spring/fall windproof jacket for around town, this is it. I was hoping for something breathable enough for outdoor activities, and versatile enough to use with layers in the winter or worn alone for spring/fall.

by fromBeautiful jacket I love the white color, but I have had to wash three times already as it gets dirty quickly. However, dirt comes out very easily. Nice jacket to layer. I wore my fleece underneath and was fairly warm during a snow tubing session.

by fromCaution in the wash! I have owned two seasons of this jacket. The first time I bought it, mid 2000s, I ended up trading it for a new one because the color faded in weird places after it had gone through a few washes. Now the second one I own, from a season after the previous, has also now experienced the same. The tag says to use delicate warm. I usually use delicate cold. It seems after the time I washed it in warm (the previous style included) to get a mud stain or grass out, the jacket faded in weird places so the color is no longer uniform. Besides that glitch, I have loved this jacket. It is very warm. I don't like it for hikes because I get too hot in it. It's perfect for nights in the city of San Francisco or Seattle.

by fromGreat multi-seasons jacket This is a great jacket and I am glad that I bought it. It is worth the full price of the jacket mainly because it is well made and able to be used in multiple seasons. The jacket is lightweight but warm and also very good in rain. The only complaint I have is that the collar is very stiff and the wrist of the sleeves could be a little more relaxed. I ended up buying a size larger than I usually do because of this; I usually like my jackets a little loose. But despite this I still love this jacket and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

by fromVery warm I really like this jacket. I ordered it last spring and wore it quite a lot. It is very warm and blocks the wind well. I wore it on a 10 mile hike in 35 degree weather with strong wind and stayed pretty warm. I am very pleased with the performance of the jacket, it is made well and I expect to use it for several years.

by fromlove this coat I enjoy this coat and I always receive compliments when i have it on. It's a nice light weight jacket that fits well. I will agree that it is stiff, but I deal with it.

by fromNorth Face Bionic Jacket The sleeves are a little long on me but I usually wear a petite and this was not offered in a petite size. Love the jacket. Warmer than expected. Great for spring baseball games.

by fromI'm a fan! My only disclosure is that I live in Southern California and the coldest it ever gets is maybe 35 degrees. With that said, it's a good jacket and will keep you warm if you are smart about layering. It is windproof and water resistant. The only slight con is that it runs a little small, so consider sizing up or try it in the store. It's a little stiff but it's a soft SHELL so it's to be expected and it's still comfortable. Otherwise, it's a good quality and useful jacket for a Californian winter or colder state's chilly fall.
