Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 21 fl. oz.:
The valve is awesome. I commute by bicycle and if I wanted to take the bottle with me after I arrived at my destination, I could simply throw the bottle in my bag with no worries about spilling as long as I put it in the "off" position. Even "open" it will not spill unless squeezed.
Sadly, I couldn't continue use of this bottle as it gave my water a pastic taste. Their "proprietary blend of polypropylene with HydroGuard" didn't do much good. I replaced this bottle with the "Novara Purist", which works great! If you don't like plastic tasting water, don't get the Podium bottle -- go for the Novara Purist.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 21 fl. oz.:
One problem I have found using this on the mountain bike is the valve can get full of dirt/grit with the way this is designed (liquid can be locked so it wont leak). I do have it mounted on a bottle cage on my bottom bar, so this may not be a problem if the cage is mounted higher. I do like the JetValve feature on this.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 21 fl. oz.:
I originally got this from REI at great price and have not seen since but this is great bottles. I squeeze more than I suck on it. Comes out effortless and stays clean. I usually like to squeeze out few drop when I'm riding mountain bike. On occasion I will take apart and dip in chlorine to clean really good.
I have went through many of bottles but this might be the last bottles I would use.

The valve makes this a great bottle. Easy to get a shot of water. Lips never touch the spout and the valve is protected from the elements. Bottle is light and durable. Can clean in dishwasher too.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 21 fl. oz.:
I replaced an Ultimate Direction hand bottle (for running) with one of these and this bottle is DREAMY. Neither the valve nor the lid leak, even when running full bore over roots and rocks. Plus, you can close it completely for transport. And when you want a lot of water, the valve will deliver a huge flow with one squeeze. The lid and valve are simply, [*]awesome! All I would change about the bottle is to make it a bit more grip-able, a textured finish or some finger divots would be great. Otherwise almost perfect.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 21 fl. oz.:
These have a bite valve which stops them from leaking while you are using them, but they also have a twist valve that seals the top so they don't leak in your backpack.
The other outstanding feature is a lining that doesn't impart a plastic taste to the water. It is amazing.
It is 100% BPA free.
