Comments about Sanyo Eneloop Charger with Package of 4 AA Batteries:
I had a pretty serious AA and AAA battery habit going until I found Eneloops. Since I got them I haven't looked back. The best part about them is the shelf life. You don't need to recharge your batteries before you hit the field. Just charge them, put them on the shelf and grab them when you need them. They don't have quite the oomph of a high quality alkaline but when you consider you can just recharge it when it drains down, that is pretty easy to forgive. I have been using them for over a year and my first set is still going strong. I did replace the Sanyo charger with a higher end model but that is just because I like gadgets. Sleeves are available if you want to use them in devices for C and D batteries but it burns through them pretty quickly.
These pay for themselves if you have numerous headlamps, GPSs, radios and flashlights to power.
