Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
Like them for cold Michigan fall/winter running. Then bought again when needed another pair...My TIP..use these in packing for business trip..samller, more compact, tread allows for multi use ..even treadmill at the hotel. Also better than new high topper 5-finger version..cause the Kangaroo skin exterior is very, very thin and light on the feet.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
Sturdy sole for a Vibram. Kangaroo leather is warm, just as Roald Amundsen found that Seal Blubber preserved his life in the Arctic and Antarctic--and he beat Scott to the South Pole-- similarly, Kangaroo leather is warm even without socks. The durability question is not decided, but anecdotal evidence indicates that the skin of animals is durable. Review not certified by PETA or the American Plastic Board.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
When I bought my first pair of KSO treks, I used them pretty much exclusively for trail running and hiking and wasn't truly that impressed with them. They were more of a novelty than useful shoe, as it hurt to walk very far on concrete or asphalt with them and my pinky toes tended to slip out if I was on a steep uphill climb.
Eventually I started wearing them more for more casual everyday use and have really come to love them. Especially with a sock, or best wearing two thin liner socks, my feet are up for hiking all day and still feel good after. I was pretty happy to find that they didn't care about me wearing them at my office and I got over the idea of looking odd when wearing them in regular public places. They're my everyday / nearly every situation shoe. The only times I don't wear them are for dressy situations, kayaking / water sports, and very cold / wet / snow conditions.
Wearing them so much really ends up in the leather being perfectly molded to your foot.
Synthetic has some advantages, especially with immediate comfort, but leather has me sold on long term comfort and odor control.
The only down sides I've found so far to these shoes is that the fabric along the inside edge of the big toe wears out too quickly. I also wore away the leather insole under the balls of my feet quite quickly while backpacking with them in wet conditions. I still wore them until the outer sole was completely worn away in several places a year later.
Sadly, they have been discontinued, so stock up while you can!

It's very difficult to size the shoe to the foot properly if you haven't worn these shoes before.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
My brother (a runner) sang their praises to me for two years before I finally bought a pair (Spyridons). Loved them so much, I bought a pair of KSO Treks, a week later. Love the suede brown look. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. I definitely notice the difference whenever I put on a pair of oxfords.
They take a little getting used to when putting them on. It takes me an extra second/minute to put them on, but it's worth it. I certainly pay more attention to my toes now, and I find I walk barefoot around the house more often.
I wear them for basic going around town for errands, on foot and on bike, dog walking and day hikes in the woods. They've been great for the summer, but not sure how they'll do in the winter. My feet haven't been cold in them yet, but I suspect I'll need a few pair of socks, if I continue to wear them in the colder months.
A few people tend to notice and make a comment—usually positive and curious. I haven't run in them, but runners I meet mention that they want to try a pair as well.
The velcro strap is wearing just a little on one of them, so I'll keep an eye on how I'm putting them on. Vibram has put out a version with laces, so the next time I try them sometime, but currently these are just great.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
Make sure you get a proper fit for the longest foot and toe; hopefully at a place with expertise and a good selection. KSO Trek has more protection than KSO; keeps stuff out better than Bikila. Great for city running on asphalt, concrete and along roadside especially when there is debris like glass, stones, rock, stickers. Excellent in high desert hiking and running. Easy to wash. Draws questions about the shoe that are generally positive. Unconventional (?) style with toes also draws some negatives - not sure why. I wear daily and all day. Great strengthening to calf, lower leg and foot. Run in city distances 3-5 miles daily and up to 15 miles. Never a blister but tend to get a hot spot on the ball of my right foot about mile 8 (though no blister) that is likely my own biomechanics. The brand tag in the heel cup is noticeable when walking but not when running. I also run in KSO and Bikila styles and wear the Bormio style often. I haven't worn any of these out yet despite 6 months of daily use primarily on city streets. Great to wear in the Arizona and Utah deserts and canyons on a recent vacation. I'm convinced and will only go back to "normal" shoes when someone holds a gun to my head!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I bought these for my boyfriend since he was getting jealous of my own KSOs. He loved them the first day he wore them. Like everyone, it took him a little while to get fully used to them compared to regular shoes. His calves definitely got quite a workout the first two weeks. I feel changing your stride is going to take some time to perfect since you cant really walk heel to toe in these without feeling the hardness of the ground all through your body. but once you have that stride right, it's so hard to go back to regular shoes because these are just so comfortable and natural feeling on your feet compared to heavy, clunky shoes that weigh down your stride.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I consider myself very lucky. Vibrams fit my feet perfectly. I have five pairs; KSO(Camo), Komodo's, Treks (Blk & Brn), Moc. I loved these darn shoes so much (actually my feet love them) I've totally abandon my other shoes. They all feel wonderful on my feet, although the KSO's are my favorite. The feel on the KSO's are unmatched. I purchased the Treks for cold weather and day hikes. A strong word of advise for would be purchasers; it's best to try several pair on at a store. I've tried on at least three pair of each model I've ended up purchasing. Why? Because the intricate nature of the shoe. One other thing; I think if you have to like to go barefoot to like these shoes. I also have two pair of "Softstar" shoes for work purposes (office). Vibrams are still my fav's.

My favorite shoes hands down. So comfortable! Definitely a conversation starter! Love the suede uppers and the flexibility. Would definitely recommend wearing the toe socks...at least until you get used to how they fit.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Men's:
I love my KSO treks, and I want to make sure people realize they only last one year of moderate use before the toe material blows out. If you can afford 125 for one season of outdoor shoe fun, they are great. if you are concerned about durability, value, and the impact on the environment from wasted materials, look elsewhere.
