Vibram FiveFingers KSO Multisport Shoes - Men'sis rated3.875out of5by8.
Rated1out of5byfromNot one of there better shoesThe single velcro strap design doesn't allow for a good fit at all. It's either too loose or too tight around the ankle to allow free movement. It's just a poor design. I have Vibrams that have lace up fit and they just feel and perform much better.

Rated5out of5byfromAmazing at Everything! These shoes are amazing at every single thing I've used them for. I've had them for a year now, so I can really attest to their durability, comfort, and versatility. In the year I've had them, I've used them for: - Hiking Mount Fuji (yes, all the way to the summit - 12,389 feet, 8 hour hike up, 5 hours down) - Kayaking - great for getting in the water and in the kayak. The shoes handle water well, they stay wet but they don't fill up or make your feet cold. - Running - I regularly run on pavement and offroad with these. They're much better for offroad than pavement - Walking - ultra comfortable for daily walking - Driving - great for driving since they give you a lot of tactile feedback at the pedals After a year of abuse - getting them wet, muddy, sandy, drying them in the sun, and running on them on and off road - these shoes are showing no signs of wear and tear. No stitching coming apart, no tears, the sole is in great condition. I'm more than 100% happy with these, especially given the price.

Rated5out of5byfromEnjoyment of gloves on your feetThese shoes allow my feet to breathe. I can be up on my feet all day and not even feel it. I had an issue with part of the shoe wearing off in a strange area, but it was just a fluke and the next pair was PERFECT!

Rated4out of5byfromvibram ugly but soooo comfortableHad car accident, with surgery to rt foot, feet scream when wearing tennis and prescribed orthodics had to stop wearing both. The vibrams are closest to being barefoot but still get protection for skin. Vibrams helped to drastically decrease foot pain. Womens sizing needs to go higher, mens sizing should come in more sizes.

Rated3out of5byfromCut my feetI like these shoes but they did cause some minor damage to my feet around the big toe, a small blister on the left, and a small cut on the right. However, I did not return them because they work well on inside sports [gyms]. For outside running I would recommend the trek version. This shoe is very close to barefoot very minimal support

Rated3out of5byfromOK "barefoot" shoe if you replace oftenI use these mainly for swimming and trail running if there is a possibility of going swimming during/after the run. I love the barefoot feel, and my original pair helped me change my running style to a mid-foot strike and helped me overcome repetitive motion running injures. Bilkia are my go-to running and crossfit shoe because they have softer yet sturdier material and hold up better I bought my first pair in 2009. I exchanged them at the local store I bought them from because they ripped out in a week or two. The second pair did the same thing. I tried new sizes up and down, and they both would eventually rip out. Finally, after moving across the country, I just lived with the holes and used them only for swimming. I bought a new pair last summer and they held up better, but they still ended up ripping. I am now on my 5th or 6th pair :/ The first 3 or so pairs ripped on the little toe seam. The latest pair ripped in a new spot between my big toe and whatever you call the next toe over. Not sure why or how it happened. I took them on a light run, and partway through stuff was not being kept out.

Rated5out of5byfromGame Changers...I've used the Five Finger KSOs for almost 3 years now, and have just bought my second pair. If you're on the fence about barefoot running I urge you to buy these shoes and give it a try. Some background...I broke my ankle as a child and have had issues with my feet ever since. In 2010, I read 'Born to Run' by Chris McDougall and was inspired to give barefoot running a try. I bought some KSOs and never looked back. My chronic ankle and knee pain disappeared, and running was fun again. I went from painfully doing 10 miles a week to doing 5-7 miles a day, and my legs felt stronger than ever. I've also worn KSO Treks and Bikila LS, and while both were quality designs, I always went back to the KSO. As I said earlier, I just bought a second pair, but not because I needed to; my original pair are still going strong, with a small hole in the stitching being the only wear and tear I've seen on them. The Vibram sole is dirty, but otherwise like new, and they've been through some rough terrain. To me, they are the most comfortable Five Fingers. The cons I listed aren't serious problems, but things you should be aware of. First, your feet will get wet running in the rain or through puddles. Second, the soles are pretty much smooth and running on wet asphalt or over ice and snow can get slippery. And last, the soles are thin; 4mm at most. Running on rough trails and on gravel or rocks will hurt. Vibram makes some great trail running shoes though so check them out if it's an issue. The shoes themselves don't do more than provide some protection from the road; you can get the same benefits running completely barefoot. Read 'Born to Run'. Learn the science behind barefoot running then try it out for yourself. All I can say is that having had some serious foot and ankle issues in the past, I was pretty skeptical. But running barefoot has truly changed my life, and I've made it my mission to convert as many runners as I can.

Rated5out of5byfromKSO - The All AroundOverall the KSO is a great all around VFF shoe. I recommend the VFF for anyone who likes the idea of barefoot/minimalist footwear. If you are new to the brand, go with the KSO. If you are only interested in running, try the Bikila I suppose, otherwise the KSO is a great entry line. Not much to say really as most of the rest is preference based. If you love VFF and don't have a KSO style, get one. If you are unsure of whether or not you want to get a first pair of VFF just consider if you love the idea. If you do, then you will enjoy the pro's and learn from the con's (which are largely instructional to your posture anyways).
