Comments about Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag - Small:
It would be the perfect bag if it had an outside pocket or 2 for a water bottle & compact umbrella.
Fits almost everything for a daily bag.

Comments about Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag - Small:
I bought this messenger bag to carry my 13" laptop and papers/folders to work and school. My commute is about an hour each way, walking in the streets and riding mass transit, and backpacks and other types of laptop bags caused serious back pain A friend had recommended Timbuk2 bags, and I took her advice because we're both small in stature (about 5' tall) and carry lots of books.
I'm pleased with the way the bag distributes weight across the body, and the functional extra strap that can be attached to keep the bag from bouncing around helps to place more of the bulk on my hips, which is great. The front pockets are well designed and have room for a lot of different items (pens, zip drives, gum, phones, etc.). The interior pockets and the main compartment are sturdy and have kept my computer dry even in rainy conditions. (I keep my laptop in a neoprene sleeve, but the sleeve didn't get damp.)
Two minor complaints: The adjustable main strap has twice become loose on my bag, in the past few months of ownership. I think it's because the company made it easier to adjust than the older models, and I have accidentally "opened the latch." I wish there was a way to "lock" it a bit more securely, but it's not been a serious problem.
The interior "sleeve" is not quite room enough for my 13" MacBook Pro, so I mostly use it for paperwork and loose mail. I thought it might fit the computer, but it's a bit too tight for comfort. I just put the laptop and sleeve in the central part of the main compartment, and it works quite well.
All in all, a great purchase and I'm really impressed. All of the features are well-designed and the bag is clearly made with high quality materials. Thanks!

Comments about Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag - Small:
I have this bag and use it often. It has the best organization for a messenger bag. I use it for work, school and on weekend trips. I'm giving the bag 4 stars because it needs a necessary grab strap. When I'm in a hurry, and need to grab the bag out of the back of the car this feature would be nice. Most messenger bags out there have a grab strap. It makes no sense to me why the company would not put a grab strap on the classic messenger bags. TimBuk 2 has the grab straps on their laptop bags. I hope in 2011 they add this feature-- I will buy another one and donate this one to my sister if they do. I hope somebody from TimBuk 2 reads this and adds the grap strap to all the classic messenger bags. I will cross my fingers this happens for next year's model.
