I have had 23 knee operations, I no longer need to wear my orthotics since I started wearing Vibram Five Fingers! I love these shoes!

I am a distance runner that was looking for a better option for arch support and padding, but staying with vibram fivefingers. I had 2 pairs of KSO's prior to these, but the main selling point for me was the 4mm TC-1 rubber pods on the bottom. They are the most amount of padding on fivefingers that I have worn yet. They also have a polyurethane arch for more support and 3mm of EVA sole. I feel almost no pain in my feet compared to my KSO's. The only bad things are that they have no pores to allow for breathablilty and ventilation, so you can't wear them for too long without them smelling. Otherwise the best pair of fivefingers yet!!!
Service and delivery comments:
Came very fast and didn't have any damage on it.

I bought a pair for myself a year ago, then a pair for my mom three months ago, and another for my sister...I love these shoes. Hike, run, walk.
I moved this summer and for safety I wore hiking shoes, the next day my feet were swollen, sore, and tight. I wore these bad boys and by lunch my feet felt better than ever.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila Running Shoes - Women's:
I LOVE these shoes. They are my first pair of VFFs (and have inspired me to buy another pair). I bought them for running on asphalt, but have found that they are my go-to shoes for errands and work. I am a teacher and have to wear comfortable shoes to chase around 11-13 year olds. I'm on my feet for about 5 hours a day and wear these in the classroom. The kids think they are soooooo cool (I've got the hot pink ones). These are now my favorite shoes (except for my havianas in summer). I'm going to get a few other pairs/styles so I can wear them at work year-round. Also, compared to my other pair of VFFS, these feel like gloves. I think Vibram must have taken a mold of my foot to make these shoes (j/k)! They are amazing! They are very snug, which I love, but others might not like. I've tried on lace-up VFFs and pefer the tight fit of the kind with the strap.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila Running Shoes - Women's:
These shoes are awesome if you have any minor toe deformities. I cannot wear regular shoes without pain because I have a toe on each foot that curves under a neighboring toe. My mother has unsuccessfully been through two surgeries for her toes and I really don't want to go that route, so I was excited to try out fingered shoes. With the curved toes, it does take a little patience to get them in the toe slot of the shoe, but it's doable. I find it's actually easier to get my toes in the slots when I don't wear socks. BUT it's more comfortable wearing the shoes with socks. When I wear them without socks the shoe rubs a little against the back of my ankle. No blisters have development though (knock on wood).
I am an obese person, so my extra weight might be the culprit, but running on pavement does not feel good in these shoes. Running on grass or dirt is fine. Another cool thing about wearing these shoes is that my very wide feet usually are cramped in regular shoes (even the wide width ones), but I have no discomfort in these. Which is weird, because I see some reviewers saying they felt narrow. Go figure, right?
Also, I tend to pronate inward with regular shoes (to the point where I wear out the inner sides of shoes first), but I feel "centered" in these shoes.
Only negatives I've experienced so far is that these shoes are not waterproof. It'd be nice, considering that running on grass feels a whole lot better than running on pavement, and the grass is usually wet in the mornings when I run.

I've been fighting painful foot soles for months. These wild looking creatures have made an amazing difference. I walk, run, mow the grass in them. Still not out of the woods, but TONS better. Next pair will try a half-size larger. My arch is really high and these are slightly ahead of it. Lovin' it.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila Running Shoes - Women's:
I bought these shoes 2 years ago, they were my first VFF shoes. They were super comfortable right out of the box, I wanted to wear them all the time!
It took a long time to work up to appreciable distance, as I didn't want to injure myself. I took my time, changing shoes mid-run if necessary. After a few months, I was running exclusively in these. I wear them with no socks, and have almost no rubbing/blister problems.
Many reviewers say they don't last long, but mine sure did! There was splitting of the soles from the uppers, but it didn't affect the function of the shoe at all. I even did several trail and mud races in them and they held up great! Plus, you can throw them in the washing machine when they get dirty. I ran many miles in these, training for and running several half marathons.
I found the sizing to be very accurate, even though I ordered them online.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila Running Shoes - Women's:
These are super comfortable, but take some getting used to. I walked too much in them the first few days and ended up having a bit of back pain - the salesperson warned me to give them a bit of time for adjustment, and that was no joke. Once you get adjusted, though, they are super comfortable, and they really do help with posture and gait correction.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Bikila Running Shoes - Women's:
I own two pairs of Bikila Running Shoes and one pair of the Sprint. I LOVE THEM! I purchased a second pair because I put about 150+ miles on my first and ran in all sorts of seasonal elements (rain, snow, mud, etc). I wanted a new, better looking and smelling pair. Now I wear my old Bikilas for rainy days and my new ones for races and sunny days. Both pairs are still in really good shape (first pair is a year old and the second is three months old) and have minimal wear. Stitching and colors have also held up well.
I typically wear a size 9 1/2 shoe and measured a 41 for the Bikila. The sizing is perfect. I am very comfortable wearing this size and my toes have enough room without my foot slipping. I primarily run on the road and my foot stays put and safe. Occasionally after track workouts the bottom of my feet become a little sensitive from running fast and in circles, but this goes away fast and with a little epsom salt soak.
I have tried many other shoes and have always come back to the Bikila. I have run 8+ miles in them so far and am working up to more miles as I write this. I have a past peroneal tendon injury and a different pair of shoes made it flare up. After a week of rest, pulling a retired pair of shoes to finish a half-marathon that I was signed up for, I returned to using the Bikila as my primary training shoe... and haven't had any problems since.
If you are new to Vibram or barefoot running, definitely take the time to break them in by walking or starting with low mileage. As well, if you are a heal striker (as I was/still kind of am), you will need to train yourself to be a more mid/fore-foot striker as there is no cushioning. Sometimes I will take it "off-the-road" by hitting up some grass or loose gravel to ease some of the impact during a long run, but I have never had any residual pain or problems from the striking. I've actually become stronger in the feet, legs, and calves due to adjusting my strike and wearing Bikilas.
Do not be intimidated and, if you are curious, TRY THEM! You'll never know otherwise. I'm always asked, "doesn't it feel weird having the shoe between your toes?" and the truth is I'm not even aware of it. I have more trouble with sock in regular shoes with my toes rubbing and such. I actually only run in toe socks with a regular shoe now because it prevents sweating and blistering between my toes. The only bad thing about the Bikila is that they can begin to smell if you wear them barefoot as I do. There are many good resources online though to help. I currently scrub the soles with baking soda/peroxide, soak in an effervescent solution, and then wash in Penguin wash if they begin to smell bad.
