Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
Works very well, no leaking even after I basically sat on it. The magnet on the bite valve is an awesome touch and the reason I chose this over a camelback. The rigid back is also very nice, no collapsing under the weight of the water.

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
I have CamelBak and Platypus water reservoirs as well as this Osprey, and this one has the best water flow through the tube. The rigid internal frame is perfect for inside my backpack, which was the whole reason I wanted it. My other reservoirs would slide down and bunch up at the bottom of the pack, this one stays put. The wide opening is very easy to fill, and the handle makes it even more convenient. The magnetic clip for the sternum strap on my pack is perfect, no squeeze clamp to fumble around with, strong magnet does not easily come loose. I got this one for my son, I have the 100 ounce version too and love it just as much.

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
I bought this for my Osprey Exos 56L after using a generic Hi-Tech bladder for years and got tired of the bulging. The Hydraform fits perfectly with the Osprey packs and is the most solid, dependable feeling bladder i have seen. No need to worry about an out of the blue punctured bladder while on the trail.
The bite valve works just fine, however the tube would cinch and kink up because the tubing isn't as thick as you think. Also the bite valve is pretty bulky so it is a pain getting in and out of the H2o hole on your pack. I don't use the magnet at all, i lead my tube down through the guidelines on the shoulder strap.
Overall i recommend this to anyone with an Osprey pack since that is what it is particularly designed and made for.

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
I've tried two other brands of hydration reservoirs. One developed leaks where the plastic would crease and the other always had a plastic/chemical taste. I've had no such trouble with this reservoir.
I had honestly given up on these bladder type reservoirs a couple years ago but found I just wasn't drinking enough water because I always had to have a buddy hand me my bottle plus it was warm an hour into the hike.
The Osprey/Nalgene reservoir tastes clean and pure even after sitting for a couple days. The rigid back makes it super easy to insert it into my pack's hydration pocket and then it stays in place very nicely with no sagging. The water also stays cool buried inside my pack.
The handles on it make it simply to fill. The turning bite valve angles perfectly to drink from and the flow is strong.
Finally a hydration reservoir so pure that I don't have to hold my nose to drink out of. Home run from my point of view.

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
Ok, So it's a great reservoir. But you cannot quick connect to water filters like you can others that have the smaller(1/4") tube. Solution cut a short piece of the 1/4" tube and slide it onto the 1/4" barbed quick connect piece then slide that into the larger Osprey tube. It makes a very tight fit and has not leaked on me yet. I carry an Atmos 65 and a kestrel 28. Both have their sleeve for the reservoir, but it is not always easy to get it in and out of my atmos 65(2011)without taking everything out and putting all back in. I wanted to be able to quick connect my filter to the drinking tube like you can a camelback or platypus, and not have to take my reservoir out of my pack. Now I can and I thought I would share with everyone to help make life easier. I really like this reservoir regardless of the little extra weight. Now I love it more now that I can fill it without pulling it out of my pack. happy hikling

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
This weekend some friends and I took a trip north to climb Mount Shasta, the tallest mountain in northern California. Prior to leaving the Bay Area, I made a quick stop at REI for water bottles, energy bars, and a hydration pack. The employees recommended the Osprey HydraForm, and needless to say, it was not only incredibly useful, but probably the most hassle-free piece of equipment I brought with me. We did the climb from bottom to top in about 10 hours, not the least of which I owe to having a readily-accessible water supply.
I only had to refill the bladder once on the climb, and the drinking tube never froze. The large cap on the front is nice too; it's easy to unscrew with gloves on. The hard back was nice as well, since it didn't let the bladder sag or become squished underneath any of my gear. My only complaint would have to be the magnetic tab that snaps to the drinking tube: it's really useful, but seems like it could be lost fairly easily. Still, I'm entirely satisfied with this product, and I would definitely recommend it based on how functional it proved to be

I have an Osprey pack so it was natural to look at the Ospray water bladder. I agree with other reviews, this is a great product. I just returned from the AT and 2 liters was a perfect size. I really like the magnet on the mouthpiece to keep it on my front strap.

Comments about Osprey 2L HydraForm Reservoir - 70 fl. oz.:
So far, this works great with my Osprey Atmos 65 - it fits flatter on the pack than other bladders.
Be warned: the weight given in the specs is off. I weighed it in at 11.7 ounces, not the 8.8 shown on the spec. Not a huge biggie, but if you're counting ounces, be aware of this gap in weight.

I love this hydration reservoir made by Osprey/Nalgene. Filling the reservoir is made easy with its integrated handle. There is a plastic back panel that forms to the frame of both my Stratos 24 and Talon 44 Osprey packs; this feature is also nice because when it becomes empty it does not slide to the bottom of the hydration compartment, like some other companies' reservoirs. The lid of the reservoir is nice and wide which makes filling it a breeze. I have had it for about five months now ,and so far I have not encountered any leaks. When not in use I simply stick it in the freezer to inhibit any sort of grungy bacterial growth.
