Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
This is a great bowl. I probably didn't need the larger size, but I preferred the orange color. That said, I liked another reviewer's comment about nesting the two bowls together. WIll be purchasing the smaller size soon as well. I've used collapsible nylon bowls in the past and this is far superior. It dries and cleans well, and is more stable. Of course, it is difficult to move when filled with water. Until my dog is used to wearing a pack and carrying his own gear, I'm considering punching a small hole near the rim and attaching it to the outside of my pack with a carabiner.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
This is the best collapsible travel bowl. The fabric bowls are not nearly as good. At home, I use stainless steel bowls. When I travel, either to a local bar or across the country, I use this bowl. My dog (a 75 pound Siberian Husky) is picky. He prefers the stainless steel bowls but will use these. He does not like fabric or plastic bowls. The bowl folds compactly and does not slide. The 48 oz bowls work well for larger dogs.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
We are buying our second bowl, not because the first bowl was destroyed, but because we now have a second dog to take backpacking. This bowl is great! It squishes, but it holds its form well enough to feed and water your dog. My only wish is that they make an even bigger bowl for giant breed dogs.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
I agonized over what size to get for my German Shepherd for our upcoming 3 month trip. I ended up buying this bigger size and the 32oz. I'm so happy i bought 1 of each because the smaller one fits perfectly inside the larger one.
The 32oz one is acceptable for a large breed to drink/eat from, however I prefer the larger mouth of the 48oz. My guy runs hot, so he's always thirsty and I would rather fill the 48oz up twice a day than have to fill up the 32oz 4 times a day.

My dog seems to favor this bowl over any fabric/drawstring bowl we've tried in the past. I like that it keeps it's shape no matter smashing it into a bag for a hike. The only thing I wish it had is a place to hook a carabiner on to hang in between water breaks. PS – Love the color (orange)!

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
We have tried lots of different traveling bowls for our dogs: those all-in-one food storage and collapsable nylon bowls (hard to keep clean, hard for our big dogs to eat from), plain plastic bowls (flimsy), and the standard stainless steel bowls (hard to pack).
This bowl is easy to pack, stands up to abuse, stays in place, and most importantly our dogs will drink and eat from it. That last point is no small feat; they are generally very suspicious of new drinking and eating vessels.
Just watch out for the ocassional misstep. The bowl is truly 'squishy' and even nicking it with your foot is likely to send water spilling out.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Pet Bowl - 48 oz.:
Whether it's on the trail or visiting family this bowl has been awesome. I have two big dogs so I was skeptical that something described as 'squishy' would hold up to their combined 225 pounds of slobering muscle-- but it's actually pretty stout and packs up just like they say, just squish it down flat in your pack. Best thing I can say is that my finicky dogs will actually eat and drink from it. Can't say the same thing about those nylon and rip cord bowls. Way easier to clean too. Another plus, put it down on a kitchen floor and it won't slide around, save your dogs the aggravation of shoving a bowl across the floor while trying to eat.
