- The Torrentshell helps keep the wearer warm, dry and comfortable
- H2No® waterproof breathable barrier provides maximum protection in wet conditions; it blocks wind and water on the outside yet allows perspiration to escape
- 2-way adjustable hood with laminated brim rolls down and stows when not in use; microfleece-lined neck and chin for comfort and enhanced protection
- Full-length front zipper features both and interior and exterior storm flaps
- Pit zips with storm flaps and water-resistant zippers
- Drawcord hem and self-fabric rip-and-stick cuff closures
- Handwarmer pockets; packs into zippered self-storage pocket

I've been unfortunate enough to need this camping, but I also use it whenever it's raining even when I'm not in the wilderness. I'm not a big fan of carrying umbrellas around so I just chuck this on and go about my day. It's been great at doing exactly what it is meant to do:
Keeps me dry
Keeps me warm, but not hot
Shields the wind
Folds up in to its own pocket and stores small
What more do you need from a rain shell?
Unless you are doing month long expeditions in the rain forest, this is a perfect addition to your backpack.

Bought the jacket as a Christmas gift for my adult son as he needed a new shell for wet weather. The jacket fits him well and the golden color is great for visibility (and happens to compliment his red hair). This is an above average lightweight rain jacket for the money. Completely wind and waterproof, but lacks somewhat in the breathability department. Fits somewhat slim... I'm 6'2, 170 lbs and I have just barely enough room to layer a fleece or down underneath the Medium. I have long arms and the sleeve length is perfect. My only real criticism is the hood fits somewhat awkwardly...I've tried adjusting it and can't get it down. For a sub $100 jacket though, great buy. Exactly what I needed it for.

I've had this for two years and worn it a number for times for both water and wind protection. Offers great wind protection especially when worn over an insulating layer. Never had an issue getting wet when it's rainy either. Still can't figure out how to work the hood though.
I'm 6ft, 200lbs and bought the extra-large to have room under the jacket for fleece jackets. I've even worn my down jacket underneath with plenty of room.

I use this raincoat as a wind-breaker (over a sweater or without) and during times it's raining. Living in the city we do a lot of walking and I find this jacket as a perfect way to keep my head and upper torso dry.
It blocks wind very well and the under-arm zips allow for breathability during warmer wear. The hood covers your head and neck very well exposing only your face.
Jacket is machine washable (do not put in dryer) which allows for easy cleaning.
The zippers on the sides are pretty small and appear to be needing some breaking-in time to loosen the zipper itself. I guess this is common with the brand's minimilistic mentality for products.
Over-all great rain jacket- I actually look forward to the rain now so I can go outside and stay dry!

great jacket. i'm kinda lanky and have ape arms, so finding stuff that fist both chest and has a long sleeve length can be difficult. This jacket fits and has a lot of additional features, like the cloth lined neck, more adjustable hood, and better hanging loops which make it nicer than my last jacket. Lightweight, breathable, and packs well.

Great lightweight shell. Awesome for wet weather, hikes, and I use it everyday for commuting on my bike. The armpit zips allow easy temperature control and can be unzipped on the run. My old roomate used this jacket over three months touring on his bike across Europe. It held up strong, and never let him get wet. WORTH EVERY PENNY!
