Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini Briefs - Women's:
I took Ex-Officio up on their advertisement: I went with just two pair of underwear in the outback of Australia for 3 weeks. no problems. am happy with this product and am hoping my husband will go for the men's version.

The package advertizes that you can travel for weeks on just 2 pairs of these. I don't go quite that far (3 minimum) but these are awesome products! I use these on every international trip that I make.

Purchased these (or their predecessor)2 years ago for a 150km hike. While the fit was fine, I did not find that they were breathable. They were hot and (sorry to be frank) gave me rashes on my inner thighs that I have never had before. Wore them about 4 times before throwing away. My husband has ex-officio pants that he loves, but these did not work for me.

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini Briefs - Women's:
You can't buy these knickers in the UK, so I imported them from REI directly on the strength of these reviews, thinking they'd be good for summer backpacking trips. That was nearly 2 months ago, and I've been wearing them constantly ever since!
The sizing is a little out--I'm a size 10/12 and the medium is only just the right side of tight for me. If you're a solid UK 12 on the hips, you'll need to bite the bullet and go large.
That said, I don't think I'll be going to the usual place (you'll know where I mean if you're a Brit) for my undies after this. These briefs make everything else in the drawer look and feel bulky. In fact I'd like to throw the rest away and invest in a few more pairs of ExOfficio bikinis.. they're soooo comfortable!
I initially bought one bikini and one string bikini pair, and both have been a revelation. The performance fabric looks more delicate than it actually is; you can machine wash at 30/40 degrees along with everything else and it won't suffer. You can also wash these panties with a bar of soap under a cold tap if need be, and the famous towel trick works well enough that there are dry patches immediately. On a hot day you could put them straight back on, IMHO, and they'd be totally dry in minutes. In colder months, 10 minutes over a warm radiator does the business. I'd avoid putting them through a dryer--the fabric was never meant for high temperatures--but you really won't need to be doing that anyway.
Admittedly the string bikini looks a lot sexier than the straight bikini, but these are still a long, long way from granny knickers. They sit more or less on the hip, they're not baggy, and they don't ride up or in.
Yes, they're expensive. But boy, are they worth it!

I've worn these for hiking, kayaking (using a dry suit) and working out. Ex-Officio came highly recommended by REI store employee and my husband - he loves his Ex-O briefs. I really hate wearing these!! I have 2 pair and both have the same attributes. The interior seams are so bulky and rough that they chafe and leave ridges. I've tried them many times in both cooler and warmer temps and always the same experience...I can't wait to take them off as they are so uncomfortable. They wick OK and dry fast, but that's their ONLY redeeming features!
I'd highly recommend the REI bikini briefs - they wick, dry fast and are made of higher quality fabric and much better design on the interior seams. I have multiple pairs and they are COMFORTABLE and are standing up to wear and laundering really well.

These fit great, don't ride up, and wick well. They seem well-made and durable.

I am not interested in paying a lot of money for much, especially not underwear but these are pretty fantastic. I bought several pair, originally just to use when hiking/camping but they are great for everyday use, and for use in athletics. Have had them for several months and no sign of wear so far from the washer/dryer. I usually wear a Med and for this brand I had to get a Large. Wasn't happy about that but I got over it because they are a great product. I highly recommend these!

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini Briefs - Women's:
Ok-I admit it, I am very persnickety about my underwear. My husband has the mens version and has been raving about them being the only underwear he wants to wear, all the time, every day! So I doubtfully bought some. These are the best undies ever, bar none! On the trial run, I wore them on a hot humid day and hiked for 10 miles, then changed all my clothes except these and went out for a night on the town. I kept wondering if I remembered to wear underwear that day, and then I thought Oh yeah they are the things that feel like silk, and about the only parts not sweaty were under these. I plan to slowly amass these undies until I can throw all others away. They really do wash and dry very easily and quickly, I have even accidentally put them in the dryer with no ill afffects. I will be taking these (and ONLY these kind) on my Australian trekking trip in a month. I have tried Patagonia, not even close, not as breathable and they crawl. Buy these and feel carefree!

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini Briefs - Women's:
I took an eight day sea kayaking trip in Glacier Bay Alaska. I was impressed at how quickly the panties dried and how well the wicking worked, but they smelled rank! When I got home and washed them per instructions, they still smelled. I had to put them through the washer a second time. There is no way I'd use them 15 countries 3 pairs of underwear or however they advertise. I'm also a runner and I'd rather not have to treat my workout underwear as delicates. I won't be buying these again.

Comments about ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini Briefs - Women's:
I am 5'9" and 160lbs. I needed some quick-dry undies for backpacking and tried out three varieties: Patagonia Barely Bikini (L), ExOfficio Give-N-Go Lacy Low Rise Bikini (L) and ExOfficio Give-N-Go Bikini (L). I liked the Patagonia best. The lacy low rise are pretty but they wedge and will be returned; this bikini by ExOfficio is worth keeping but the fit and material are just not as nice as the Patagonia. Though both manage moisture well and dry overnight, the Patagonia is softer and stretches better.
