Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
Product fits well and is comfortable for 1 day. But this is not the product to use on a multi-day excursion - tends to chaff. Even during the day it tends to bunch up and create uncomfortable moments on the trail while one adjusts.

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
They feel confortable, snug enough and soft, but after wearing them in a hot day, the fabric turned stinky right away. I have similar from other brand, and did wear them over 8 days in alpine conditions, where you can only use babywpies for your daily higiene routine, and they did not turned smelly.
This one's did in just one day.
If they remake them with anti-bacterial fabric/anti-smell, then I would consider to buy again

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
I have about 10 pair of ExOficio boxer briefs and I love them. I was looking for a good non-[*]maybe even American made alternative so I thought I would give the REI branded ones a try. Unfortunately these are more in the boxer than brief category which isn't how they are described. They tend to be too long between the waistband and the crotch, and will ride up or generally get uncomfortable pretty quickly. As far as the build quality and stitching, I have no complaints. These under britches seem relatively well put together.

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
These are a great light weight option for backpacking. They breath well and dry quickly. My first time backpacking in the rainforest I took cotton underwear along. After a while I tried washing them in a stream and ended up having to deal with perpetually wet underwear.
On this last trip I brought a few pairs of these along and they did the trick! They do all the normal things you expect from underwear but they dry very quickly so you will never be stuck with wet undies!
(The only reason they did not receive 5 stars is they do then to ride up a little bit.)

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
I just bought these boxer briefs in March 2012 for a trip to HOT & HUMID (90-95 degrees, 95-98% humidity) Peru. Believe me when I tell you that you will not own a more comfortable pair of boxer briefs ever! I didn't even feel them at all, even wearing jeans. They do not ride up and stay put (maybe the regular boxers do, but boxer briefs do not). Washing them is a breeze (I used Camp Suds) and they dry unbelievably fast. I was concerned with the black color possibly attracting more heat and making me hot ( I normally run on the way-hot side), but I was mistaken, that did not happen.

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
I was really happy to see a cheaper REI version of the Exofficio boxer brief. The main problem is after about a year these become pretty smelly no matter how many times you wash them. I guess I'll spend the extra $10 and get the Name Brand.

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
I have tried many kinds of under ware for about three years. Now this is all I buy, replacing the earlier trials. I am extreeeeemly picky, and rei has got this right, good fit without restriction, no ride up, soft and durable, wicking meets my need to stay dry in 90 deg 90% tropical humidity. I just ordered more!

Comments about REI Boxer Briefs - Men's:
I was looking for something to replace my old "performance" under garments and saw these on the REI web site. I put them on the list of items to check out at my local store. They really seemed well made and I was happy to see that they were made in America. I know some reviewed them bad but I believe the material was changed or upgraded. I bought 3 as a trial set and I'm very pleased with them so far. I use them for everyday as well as hiking and bike riding, I don't like padded bike shorts. So far they have held up to washings and wear.
